Dynamic taping method for inhibition and elicitation of skeletal muscle tone
11103384 · 2021-08-31 ·

Is a taping method that follows a specific set of rules based on anatomical and physiological patterns in humans. This taping method causes a change in skeletal muscle tone in the human body, when tape is directly applied to the skin of the human body over targeted tendons and surrounding structures going over joints. This taping method will inhibit the muscle tone in the antagonist muscle of the opposing side of the joint where the tape is applied, while simultaneously eliciting the agonist of the muscle that are attached by the tendon of the joint where the tape is applied.

This invention is related to an improved version of the wound wrapping, support means and compression units for use in a living body. Rapid wound dressing and wrapping are of significant importance and may save a lot of complications and lives. Also as important is the stability of the wrapped unit, a unit which does not stay stable on the wound will not function properly. The wound compression and prevention of bleeding are of significant importance as well as covering the whole area and preventing a site of wound to be covered. The compression also would be helpful and needed after certain surgeries to prevent complication and reach the ultimate goal. The adjustablility and being able to use one unit in more patients are of clinical and economical importance. This invention introduces a models combination of support units with straps, that can be used in various parts of the body. The new version allows the user to wrap a leg or arm easily and more securely. The use of more than one support is again stressed, different ways of use of these units are also discussed. Also new is the use of stretchable hoses for allowing the straps to be held in place more securely. So that these better unit can make the patient care a bit easier and help humanity.

Syndesmosis reduction device and method of use
11844716 · 2023-12-19 ·

An improved syndesmosis reduction device has a wrap of elastic material extending a length L from a first end to a second end with an open window or slot positioned in an intermediate portion of the wrap spaced from the ends. The wrap is configured to achieve a reduction of an injured ankle and is facilitated by the elastic nature of the ankle wrap. The reduction is facilitated by circumferentially wrapping the wrap from a leg to a foot or vice versa in a compressive fashion by securing the first end by wrapping and stretching the wrap to the second end. The window or slot is to permit an incision at the ankle for hardware placement without the need to remove the wrap and without loss of the reduction achieved.

WOUND AND BANDAGE PROTECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
20210085527 · 2021-03-25 ·

A wound/bandage protector configured as a wrap, a sock/mitten, or a bandage may be made out of stretchable material. The wrap may have one or more fastening straps as well as possibly a first catch fastening surface. The sock/mitten may have a fastening strap and a sheath. The wrap, the sock/mitten, and the bandages may have apertures and aperture covers. In addition, the wound/bandage protectors as well as the bandages may have diamond or triangular gauze configurations with the gauze pad having three or four primary corners, the primary corners of the gauze pad in most instances being oriented towards edges of the body portion or length or width tangents of the body portion, preferably mid-points or mid-sections of the length or width tangents or body portion edges.

STRETCHABLE HEATING TAPE
20210077294 · 2021-03-18 ·

The present disclosure is directed to a heating mechanism including stretchable heating tape and a rechargeable electrical power source. The stretchable heating tape can be worn to provide heat and pressure relief on different parts of a user's body anisotropically. On one side of such stretchable tape lies a single-layer fabric in which non-stretchable heating wire is at least partially weaved with knitted stretchable yarns to make a stretchable fabric that can stretch up to 100%. On the other side of the stretchable tape lies an adhesive material that provides tension at various levels of stretch up to 100% and can sustain multiple hours on direct skin applications. Such stretchable fabric can have a connector coming from one end or both ends which provides a path for power through an inter-connecting cable between the stretchable tape and a controller which includes the power source and its control circuitry.

Compression Bandaging

A compression bandage is provided that includes a zinc oxide composition and/or one or more other therapeutic agents. In use, the bandage can be compression wrapped directly contacting a subjects skin for application of the zinc oxide composition and/or other therapeutic agents.

Method and compression garment for establishing a compression to a human limb or body part
10898390 · 2021-01-26 · ·

A method for establishing a compression level to a human limb or body part by a compression garment is shown, the garment consisting of or including a bandage having at least one closing part, which closing part is securable on the garment in a position wherein the bandage is fully or partly wrapped around said limb or body part to establish said pressure level, the method including a first step of wrapping the bandage around the limb or body part and provisionally securing it in a first position that holds the compression garment on the limb or body part without applying a compression level to said limb or body part; a second step of applying a tab with an adhesive or attaching mechanism to the garment, the tab abutting the terminal edge of the closing part; a third step of releasing the closing part from its provisionally secured position and wrapping the bandage part further around the limb or body part, using the length of the tab as a marking for a safe compression level range; and a fourth step of securing the closing part to the garment at a second position within the safe compression level range.

Self-fusing low density silicone
10898606 · 2021-01-26 ·

An adhesive free self-fusing material being either of open or closed cell polymer (silicone) based material that can be used to create a permanent elastic band for compression and support dressings. The proprietary polymer material upon contact with itself, initiates a room temperature reaction of self-vulcanization with the contact surfaces of itself. This eliminates the need for any adhesives which some patients experience negative reactions. In an example embodiment, the material comprises Vinyl stopped polydimethyl siloxane, amorphous silica, and dimethylpolysiloxane.
