Top band for garments, in particular for medical compression stockings or bandages
A top band (1, 1′) for garments (2), in particular for medical compression stockings or bandages, comprising a flexible basic body (3, 3′) with an inside (4, 4′) facing the garment (2) and an outside (5, 5′), wherein the flexible basic body (3, 3′) comprises a fastening section (7, 7′) for the garment (2) on the inside (4, 4′) next to a coupling section (6, 6′), and wherein the fastening section (7, 7′) is formed by an edge-side recess (8, 8′) in the flexible basic body (3, 3′), so that the garment (2) can be fastened, offset from the coupling section (6, 6′) of the flexible basic body (3, 3′), in the recess (8, 8′).
SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AND PROMOTING PATIENT MOBILITY
A method is provided which includes providing a sensor operable to measure movement over time on a user. The sensor includes an alert unit. The sensor is configured with a threshold to activate the alert unit when the measured movement over time is below the threshold. The measurements of movement over time are obtained, and it is determined whether the measured movement over time is below the threshold. When the measured movement is below the threshold, the alert unit at the sensor is activated to alert the user.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING COMPRESSION WITH COMPRESSION BANDAGES HAVING STRETCHABLE ELECTRONICS
Systems and methods are described for monitoring compression applied by a compression bandage to a body portion of an individual. A system embodiment includes, but is not limited to, a textile configured to conform to a body portion of an individual subject; one or more strain gauges integrated with the textile, the one or more strain gauges configured to generate one or more sense signals associated with a strain of the textile; circuitry operably coupled to the one or more strain gauges and configured to receive the one or more sense signals associated with the strain of the textile; and a reporter operably coupled to the circuitry and configured to generate one or more communication signals associated with the strain of the textile responsive to instruction by the circuitry when the strain of the textile is less than or greater than a threshold strain value.

Compression garment
In an embodiment, a compression garment can include one or more of a flex frame, a shape memory material, a backing, and a control module. In some variations, the flex frame can include a set of support regions, a set of cutout regions, a set of bridges, one or more terminals, and one or more rotation points. In some variations, the compression garment 100 can further include a fabric sleeve, one or more fasteners, a power module, and/or any other suitable component. The compression garment functions as a compression device (e.g., to improve circulation, enhance muscle recovery, etc.), and can additionally or alternatively function as a passive compression device, a heating and/or cooling device, or perform any other suitable functionality.

ASSISTIVE FLEXIBLE SUITS, FLEXIBLE SUIT SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND CONTROL THEREOF TO ASSIST HUMAN MOBILITY
In at least some aspects, the present concepts include a method for configuring an assistive flexible suit including the acts of outfitting a person with an assistive flexible suit, monitoring an output of at least one sensor of the assistive flexible suit as the person moves in a first controlled movement environment, identifying at least one predefined gait event using the output of the at least one sensor, adjusting an actuation profile of the at least one actuator and continuing to perform the acts of monitoring, identifying and adjusting until an actuation profile of the at least one actuator generates a beneficial moment about the at least one joint to promote an improvement in gait. The at least one controller is then set to implement the actuation profile.
