A disposable tape kit and method for use by athletes or others requiring immobilisation of the wrist. The tape kit includes a first strip with a palm anchor, an anterior wrist portion, and an anterior forearm anchor, along with a second strip that includes a back anchor, a wrist anchor starting end, a wrist anchor central portion, and a wrist anchor finishing end. When applied to a wearer's hand, wrist, and forearm, tension along the first strip on the anterior side of the wrist resists extension of the wrist, while tension along the second strip on the posterior side of the wrist resists flexion of the wrist. The combination of the first tension and second tension tends to immobilize the wrist against both flexion and extension.

The present invention relates to a silicone pad for adhering to the skin, comprising at least one active ingredient for cosmetic skin care or against skin aging. In addition, the present invention relates to a cosmetic method for smoothing the skin, for the induction of scar remission, and it relates to the addition of active ingredients in the course in smoking cessation by means of applying a silicone pad to the skin of a person.

A glove with thinner and thicker parts is disclosed. The thinner parts, in one version of the glove, cover all of a thumb and index finger and a distal phalanx of a middle and ring finger. The rest of the glove, in such an embodiment, is thicker. The thicker parts can include the palm and dorsal side of the hand. The thinner region palmar side of the distal phalanx of the middle and ring finger include, in embodiments of the disclosed technology, a pad with a peelable cover which reveals a local anesthetic and disinfectant. Such pads can further be used/attached with a version of the glove with only thinner material throughout. In this manner, one can grasp with greater dexterity with the thinner regions of the glove compared to the thicker regions and also use a disinfectant followed by an anesthetic.

A method and system for creating a custom-fit orthopedic cast comprises obtaining at least one measurements taken from at least one image of a body part, selecting a template cast, modifying the template cast according to the measurements taken from the at least one image to generate a custom cast model and rendering a custom cast based on the custom cast model.

A post-operative support apparatus for a patient's residual limb includes: a planar, stretchable and flexible wrap panel sized to wrap around an outer circumference of a patient's residual limb, along a length of the patient's residual limb, where the wrap panel includes one or more fasteners (such as hook & loop fastener components) for maintaining the wrap panel in place around the patient's residual limb; a pair of substantially rigid, elongated side support panels to respectively apply to the medial and lateral sides of the patient's residual limb, over the wrap panel; a distal cushion to apply against a distal end of the patient's residual limb; and a retainer maintaining the distal cushion against the patient's residual limb.

A seamless compression article is knitted on a flatbed knitting machine having a front needle bed and a rear needle bed opposite thereto. The compression article includes a base structure of at least one weft thread, at least one elastic warp thread inserted or knitted therein, and at least one tubular or pocket-like receptacle extending along a longitudinal direction for at least one finger or at least one toe of a wearer of the compression article and can be placed on a body extremity of the wearer extending in the longitudinal direction. The receptable includes a number of rib-like elevations, which run substantially parallel to each other and along the longitudinal direction of the corresponding receptacle. Putting on the compression article can thereby be facilitated.

A fingertip protector having a flexible cover with a top contacting surface and a bottom gripping surface. A lip is attached to the flexible cover so as to define the contacting surface and a strap is attached on both of its ends to the flexible cover. The contacting surface is sized and shaped to fit on a tip of a finger and the strap is configured to wrap around a finger to assist in securing the contacting surface on the tip of the finger. The flexible cover is comprised of a heat-resistant elastomer. The contacting surface contacts the tip of a finger while the lip engages that tip to assist maintaining the finger and thumb tip protector in place.

A cylindrical bandage is held in place without using binding means such as strings tied to an upper limb. Additionally, the cylindrical bandage for a lower limb or upper limb fits the shapes and dimensions of a body part and stays on the body part and thus allows great increase in venous return. The cylindrical bandage includes a tubular knit being of a length corresponding to a length of an arm or a leg and a gutter-shaped knit extending from a lengthwise first end of the tubular knit. This gutter-shaped knit has smaller circumferential length than the first end of the tubular knit and has a cut-out section with a horseshoe or V shape.
