HANDCUFFING TRAINING APPARATUS
20180197435 · 2018-07-12 ·

The present disclosure relates to a handcuff training apparatus, a method of using thereof, and a kit comprising the handcuffing training apparatus. The handcuff training apparatus comprises instructions provided thereon for directing and instructing a first individual on how to apply handcuffs onto a second individual and/or guiding lines provided thereon for guiding the first individual on where to apply the handcuffs around the second individual's wrists. The handcuff training apparatus can be made of a suitable material such as, but not limited to, an adhesive tape, a flexible bi-stable spring band, or an elastomeric band wherein the elastomeric band wraps and couples around the second individual's wrist by elastomeric tension.

Dynamic Taping Method for Inhibition and Elicitation of Skeletal Muscle Tone
20180168847 · 2018-06-21 ·

Is a taping method that follows a specific set of rules based on anatomical and physiological patterns in humans. This taping method causes a change in skeletal muscle tone in the human body, when tape is directly applied to the skin of the human body over targeted tendons and surrounding structures going over joints. This taping method will inhibit the muscle tone in the antagonist muscle of the opposing side of the joint where the tape is applied, while simultaneously eliciting the agonist of the muscle that are attached by the tendon of the joint where the tape is applied.

ORTHOPEDIC SUPPORT APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE

A support for application to a body area. The support has a network of flexible non-porous tubing interlaced at a plurality of junctions to form a lattice structure. The lattice structure includes apertures to allow for the flow of air and water to the body area. At least one liquid is contained within the network of flexible non-porous tubing and is configured to transform into a solid when acted on by an external stimulus. A padding layer is secured to an internal surface defined on the lattice structure. The padding layer further includes apertures corresponding to the lattice structure apertures such that the flow of air and water to the body area is not impeded by the padding layer.

ABG STRETCH TAPE

An adhesive elastomeric tape comprising 90 grade cheesecloth that is knitted with a medium gauge elastic yarn through a stitch bonding machine. The cloth is then coated with a petroleum base adhesive using a unique strike through method that allows a adhesive to pass through while coating both sides. A style of athletic tape that is flexible, durable, and adhesive simultaneously.

Multilayer garments worn during wound care

A wound recovery garment includes a multilayer fabric. The multilayer fabric comprises a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The multilayer fabric draws moisture from the skin tissues, including wounded or burned tissue recovering from trauma. The first layer removes moisture from wounded tissue without sticking to skin. The first layer is formed from compressive, elastic material that supplies compression forces to tissue. The second layer is an absorbent layer that receives the moisture from the first layer and stores tissue moisture in a sponge-like fashion. The second layer is disposed between the first layer and the third layer. The third layer is an exterior layer and is visible to outside viewers. No body fluid or blood leaks through the third layer. Individuals recovering from trauma are able to comfortably go outside without being concerned with body fluids soaking through and being visible to others.

Light Therapy Apparatus
20170291040 · 2017-10-12 ·

A light therapy apparatus is described that includes a housing, a laser mounted in the interior of the housing, and a control circuit that controls the laser according to a control program. The housing includes an opening extending through a first surface of the housing from an interior of the housing. The first surface is perpendicular to the bottom of the housing. The laser is mounted in the interior of the housing so as to output laser light in a direction perpendicular to the bottom of the housing, and the housing and the laser are arranged so that eyes of a user are shielded from direct contact with the laser light output by the laser by the laser light output from the laser being indirectly output through the opening.

Optical light guides which transmit light exteriorly of their length are coupled to one or more lasers at ends. The optical light guides are mounted on various carriers or as part of an optical bandage to provide therapeutic light to a portion of a human body. The lasers may be activated at various times in a 24-hour period, while the optical light guides are worn by a user.

PRECUT KINESIOLOGY TAPE FOR WRIST SUPPORT
20170056252 · 2017-03-02 · ·

A precut kinesiology tape for wrist support includes a strip of woven material having a first face and an opposed second face, a length and a width that is shorter than the length, and a length stretch ratio along the length and a width stretch ratio along the width. The width stretch ratio is greater than the length stretch ratio. An adhesive is on the first face in a discontinuous pattern.

CARPAL TUNNEL WRIST BRACE

A brace for treating/preventing carpal tunnel injury including a body having a proximal end and a distal end defining s longitudinal direction, the body including a forearm support at the body proximal end, a wrist support coupled to the forearm support by a neck portion, the wrist support comprising a first palmar strap support, a first member and a second member extending from the wrist support in the longitudinal direction towards the distal end, a distal palmar support, a proximal palmar aperture, a palm band having a second palmar strap support, and a palmar strap, extending between a proximal end attached to the first palmar strap support to a distal end, the palmar strap configured to extend across a portion of the back of the hand and over a purlicue of the hand, the distal end of the palmar strap configured to removably attach to the distal palmar support.

Hand joint supporter

A hand joint supporter which can reduce the load on hand joints includes a first anchor section for tightening the wearer's forearm with a tubular knitted fabric, a second anchor section for tightening the palm and back of the wearer's hand with the fabric and a hole anchor section formed as a roughly circular through-hole in the vicinity of the second anchor section. A supporting section extends lengthwise in the fabric across the part covering the caprometacarpal joint and is joined to the first anchor section and the hole anchor section so as to support the wearer's hand joints. Stretch resistance, in the circumferential direction of the fabric of the first anchor part is larger than that of a base fabric section, and stretch resistance, in the length width direction of the fabric, of the supporting section is larger than that of the base fabric section.
