Absorbent article having a reduced humidity level
An absorbent article comprising an absorbent member positioned between a topsheet and a backsheet is provided. The absorbent member contains at least one layer that comprises porous superabsorbent particles, wherein the particles exhibit a relative humidity microclimate of about 67% or less after being exposed to an atmosphere having a temperature of about 23? C. and relative humidity of 80% for a time period of 20 minutes.
Sanitary pad
A sanitary pad 10 is provided for eliminating incidents of leakage from the front and rear of a user's torso. The sanitary pad 10 includes a lower fluid-impervious base member 12 having engaging members 14 coupled to each side thereof for securing the pad to an under garment of a user. An intermediate liquid absorbent member 16 is adjacently coupled to the base member. A pair of spaced raised longitudinally extending absorbent guide members 20 are coupled to the intermediate absorbent member 16. A first oval shaped liquid absorbent member 22 is coupled to one end 24 and sides 26 of the intermediate absorbent member 16 and a second oval shaped liquid absorbent member 28 is coupled to another end 30 and sides 32 thereof thereby preventing leakage from the front and rear of the sanitary pad 10.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ANTIBACTERIAL SUPERABSORBENT POLYMER ABSORBER CONTAINING METAL NANOPARTICLES
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a superabsorbent polymer absorber containing metal nanoparticles and an application of the superabsorbent polymer absorber which is manufactured by the same and has antibacterial, sterilization, far infrared ray emission, prevention of blood oxidation, and mineral releasing functions. Specifically, the present invention relates to a technique in which metal nanoparticles such as copper, brass, bronze, silver, gold, germanium, and zinc are formed on the superabsorbent polymer by using a water-free manufacturing method, then, when the superabsorbent polymer absorbs water, the metal nanoparticles are naturally and uniformly dispersed, thereby allowing the superabsorbent polymer to exhibit inherent properties of the metal nanoparticles, and an application thereof.
Feminine pad with barrier cuffs
A disposable absorbent article having barrier cuffs is disclosed herein. The disposable absorbent article has improved pad curl characteristics which can facilitate application of the disposable absorbent article.

Sanitary napkin
A sanitary napkin for retention of vulvar discharge includes a shell that defines an interior space. The shell is flexible and liquid impermeable. A ridge, which defines a canal, extends from the front of the shell around a perimeter of an opening. An absorbent is positioned in the interior space and the canal. A pair of fasteners is coupled singly to and extends from opposing edges of the shell. A first improvement is the liquid impermeability of the front of the shell, wherein vulvar discharge is effectively retained within the interior space of the shell. A second improvement is the ridge that is positioned on the front. The shell is sealably positionable over the vulva of the user such that vulvar discharge is directed to the opening.
RESILIENT ABSORBENT PRODUCTS WITH ENHANCED RESISTANCE TO TEARING
The present disclosure provides a sanitary napkin that is thin, highly absorbent and has resiliency properties that are selected to provide good comfort potential and at the same time reduce the likelihood of deformation and breaking. In a specific example, the sanitary napkin comprises a cover layer, an absorbent system and a barrier layer. The absorbent system includes an absorbent core and a reinforcement layer.
Fixed and removable absorbent cores for absorbent articles
A multiple use absorbent article includes a chassis absorbent unit having a chassis topsheet, a chassis backsheet, and a chassis absorbent core sandwiched between the chassis topsheet and the chassis backsheet. The article also includes an absorbent insert bonded to the chassis absorbent unit, a removable portion of the absorbent insert configured to be selectively removable from the chassis absorbent unit, wherein the absorbent insert includes an insert topsheet, an insert backsheet, and an insert absorbent core sandwiched between the insert topsheet and the insert backsheet. The absorbent insert further includes a line of weakness that provides for separation of the absorbent insert into a removable portion configured to be removed from the chassis absorbent unit, and a resident portion that remains bonded to the chassis absorbent unit.
