The blood coagulant device is mounted in a fixed position within the blood coagulant device container prior to its removal from the blood coagulant container. The blood coagulant device has a rigid handle configured with a handle lower section and a handle upper section contoured with a channel passing through both the lower and upper handle sections. A blood coagulant mechanism is secured to an outer surface of the handle upper section and a to a ledge section of the handle member which extends radially at a joint location of the handle's lower and upper sections.

The absorbent component further includes a composite fibrous web of staple cellulosic fibers and a meltspun web of filaments entangled with the web of staple cellulosic fibers. The composite fibrous web can be in a compressed configuration in the internal void such that at least portion of the outer surface of the absorbent component is defined by the meltspun web of filaments. The tampon can include a withdrawal cord coupled to the absorbent component.

In use, the wrap is configured to wrap around a wearer's chest and substantially cover the wearer's breasts with the one or more absorbent regions covering the wearer's nipples and the first and second adjustment regions positioned above and below the wearer's breasts respectively. In another embodiment, the breast wrap comprises one or more absorbent panels removably attached to a first side of the first panel and, in use, the one or more absorbent panels cover the wearer's nipples.

Uterine hemostasis devices and related methods are generally described. In some embodiments, a uterine hemostasis device may include a pouch enclosing one or more fluid absorbing bodies for treatment of postpartum hemorrhage. The pouch may be delivered to a patient's uterus, whereby the fluid absorbing bodies may absorb uterine fluids (e.g., blood) and expand to apply pressure to the uterine walls. Following hemostasis of the uterus, the pouch may be extracted with retrieval tethers accessible from the patient's vagina or vaginal opening. In some embodiments, the pouch may be compressed prior to extraction, such that it may pass through the cervical canal more easily. In some embodiments, the pouch may enclose one or more pouches, such that the fluid absorbing bodies may be extracted in batches to facilitate removal. The pouch may be delivered with a syringe-like applicator positioned in the cervical canal.
