20220401083 · 2022-12-22 ·

A roll sheet type sample collection kit according to an embodiment includes a fixing bar provided as a member having a given length, a collection sheet rolledly fixed to one end of the fixing bar to attachedly collect the sample thereonto, a support bar adapted to allow the fixing bar and the collection sheet to protrude from one side thereof and to be grasped while the sample is being collected, and a cap detachably mounted to surround the fixing bar and the collection sheet protruding from the support bar. The roll sheet type sample collection kit performs a sample test in a gentle and accurate manner, and easily removes a portion where the sample is collected therefrom so as to perform the sample test, thereby enhancing quickness and conveniences in the sample test.

Spectrometric analysis

A method of spectrometric analysis comprises obtaining one or more sample spectra for an aerosol, smoke or vapour sample. The one or more sample spectra are subjected to pre-processing and then multivariate and/or library based analysis so as to classify the aerosol, smoke or vapour sample. The results of the analysis are used for various surgical or non-surgical applications.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COLLECTING LIQUID SAMPLES

The present invention relates to devices and methods for collecting liquid samples such as for removing a target liquid sample fraction from a larger liquid sample, e.g., from a biological sample. These devices and methods are particularly useful for rapidly and cost-effectively removing the buffy coat layer from an anticoagulated blood sample. These devices and methods have the advantage that the removal can be made on blood sample processed by ordinary centrifugation and do not require more complicated or costly processing techniques such as density gradient centrifugation.

Spectrometric analysis of microbes

A method of analysis using mass spectrometry and/or ion mobility spectrometry is disclosed. The method comprises: using a first device to generate smoke, aerosol or vapour from a target comprising or consisting of a microbial population; mass analysing and/or ion mobility analysing said smoke, aerosol or vapour, or ions derived therefrom, in order to obtain spectrometric data; and analysing said spectrometric data in order to analyse said microbial population.
