SILICONE-POLYESTER COPOLYMER, SEALANTS COMPRISING SAME, AND RELATED METHODS
A silicone-polyester copolymer has the formula X.sub.g[Z.sub.jY.sub.o].sub.c, where each X is an independently selected silicone moiety having a particular structure, each Y is an independently selected polyester moiety, each Z is an independently selected siloxane moiety, subscript c is from 1 to 150, subscript g is >1, 0≤j<2, and 0<o<2, with the proviso that j+o=2 in each moiety indicated by subscript c. Methods of preparing the silicone-polyester copolymer are also disclosed. Further, a sealant is disclosed, the sealant comprising the silicone-polyester copolymer and a condensation-reaction catalyst.
3-ARYL-BENZOFURANONE COMPOUND AND COMPOSITION FORMED THEREFROM
The present invention discloses a 3-aryl-benzofuranone compound in which R.sub.1-R.sub.6, in the formula are mutually independent H or C.sub.1-C.sub.20 alkyls, and R.sub.7 is C.sub.7-C.sub.20 alkyl or C.sub.7-C.sub.20 mixed alkyl. The present invention also discloses a composition of 3-aryl-benzofuranone compound and the preparation method. The 3-aryl-benzofuranone compound and the composition thereof has the superiority in application due to the characteristics of less proneness to volatilize, less proneness to be extracted, higher resistance to migration and less proneness to bloom and precipitate on the surface of organic materials, and with a wide range of application, it is effective during the application.
RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAM AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A rigid polyurethane foam which is a polymerization product of a composition including a concentrated acid hydrolytic lignin, a polyol, and an isocyanate, and a method of preparing the rigid polyurethane foam.
ACCELERATE CURE POLYURETHANE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
Disclosed is an adhesive system and method of use thereof wherein the adhesive composition comprises a moisture curable adhesive comprised of an isocyanate terminated prepolymer and a cure accelerator having two curatives components having different cure kinetics. The cure accelerator is comprised of an isocyanate reactive compound comprising a primary, secondary or tertiary amino group, or a primary thiol group having faster curing kinetics resulting an increase in bead stability within the first minutes and a polyol selected from a diol and/or triol with slower curing kinetics allowing for sufficient open time and yet a fast strength build up. The preferred method of application of the adhesive system is via a 1K application gun.
Low viscosity polyols for polyurethane applications
Lactide-based random polyester polyols for use in polyurethane compositions are disclosed. The polyester polyols have an OH value in the range of greater than 400 mg KOH/g up to 1100 mg KOH/g and are the reaction product of at least one polycarboxylic acid, at least one lactide, and one or more polyalcohols. The polyester polyols can be formulated into the B-side of a two part polyurethane composition to obtain a polyurethane having improved hardness and solvent resistance and a low VOC content. The polyurethane composition is particularly suitable for polyurethane coating applications.
LEADING EDGE PROTECTION COMPOSITION AND USES THEREO
A polyurethane elastomer composition includes a polycarbonate diol and an aliphatic isocyanate, and lacking any solvent. The composition is used for leading edge protection (LEP), preferably of wind turbine rotor blades.
POLYURETHANE FOAM SPONGE AND WOUND DRESSING HAVING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a polyurethane foam sponge produced by the steps of a) providing an hydrophobic polyol which has six hydroxyl groups, b) providing a hydrophilic diisocyanate obtained by reacting a diisocyanate with a hydrophilic polyether diol, c) reacting the hydrophobic polyol with the hydrophilic diisocyanate to obtain a prepolymer which includes 3 to 6 isocyanate groups, and d) mixing the prepolymer with a hydrophilic polyether polyol, a blowing agent, an end-capping agent, a reinforcing agent, and a catalyst to obtain the polyurethane foam sponge. A wound dressing including the polyurethane foam sponge is also disclosed.
Plasticization-resistant polyurethane membrane and preparation method thereof
A plasticization-resistant polyurethane membrane for gas separation and producing method are disclosed. The plasticization-resistant polyurethane membrane may include a soft segment, a hard segment and a chain extender. The soft segment may include a polyol compound and the hard segment may include a diisocyanate. The plasticization-resistant polyurethane membrane may be a cross-linked polyurethane membrane.
COATING OF WIRES WITH CATALYTICALLY CROSSLINKED BLOCKED POLYISOCYANATES
The present invention relates to the coating of wires with coatings which are obtained by crosslinking blocked polyisocyanates. The coatings are characterized in that they are substantially free of urethane groups and the crosslinking of the monomers is predominantly effected by isocyanurate groups.
VINYL-MODIFIED FLUOROCARBON RESIN AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF, AND CORROSION RESISTANT COATING AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF
A method for preparing a vinyl-modified fluorocarbon resin comprises mixing a fluorine-containing vinyl monomer, an initiator, and a tetrafluoroethylene monomer in a gas phase to carry out an addition reaction so as to obtain the vinyl-modified fluorocarbon resin. The fluorine-containing vinyl monomer is grafted onto tetrafluoroethylene, resulting in a vinyl-modified fluorocarbon resin which is highly resistant to strong acids and bases as well as weathering. The corrosion resistant coating prepared by using the resin as a base resin also has high resistances to strong acids and bases as well as weathering.
