Decentralized ledger system and method for enterprises

A computer-implemented method for managing enterprise transactions includes creating an overlay to a physical communications network, adding one or more nodes to the overlay, designating one or more nodes of the overlay as super nodes, generating a distributed ledger to store the transactions, and replicating the distributed ledger to all nodes of the overlay. Generating the distributed ledger includes receiving, at the super nodes, transactions from the one or more nodes, assigning, by the super nodes, the transactions to a variable size block, validating, by the super nodes, the variable size block, and linking the validated variable size block to the distributed ledger.

Laser-Produced Porous Surface

The present invention disclosed a method of producing a three-dimensional porous tissue in-growth structure. The method includes the steps of depositing a first layer of metal powder and scanning the first layer of metal powder with a laser beam to form a portion of a plurality of predetermined unit cells. Depositing at least one additional layer of metal powder onto a previous layer and repeating the step of scanning a laser beam for at least one of the additional layers in order to continuing forming the predetermined unit cells. The method further includes continuing the depositing and scanning steps to form a medical implant.

Hair implants comprising enhanced anchoring and medical safety features

A hair implant suitable for subcutaneous implantation is provided having an anchor comprising an anchor body, and at least one collagen receiving structure selected from the group consisting of at least one tunnel disposed through the anchor body and an external surface feature of the anchor body. The anchor further comprises at least one hair strand projecting from a distal end of the anchor body, wherein the at least one collagen receiving structure is configured to support collagen ligature growth after subcutaneous implantation of the hair implant so as to anchor the anchor to a hair implant recipient, and the collagen receiving structure is free of hair. A fracture line in the anchor body allows the body to fragment, thereby releasing collagen ligatures and allowing the implant fragments to release and fall out of the skin. The at least one hair strand may comprise a primary hair element with emerging hair elements.

Spinal fusion implant for oblique insertion

Intervertebral spinal fusion implants for interbody fusion of the anterior column of the spine are described. The implants have a substantially bi-convex or a substantially offset bi-convex shape. The implants are placed through a transforaminal or posterior approach at an oblique insertion angle. The implants have an outermost point on the superior convex surface and an outermost point on the inferior convex surface and four edges of differing heights. The outermost superior and inferior points of the implants are connected with the four edges with convex surfaces of different curvatures. The curvatures of the convex surfaces of the implants are designed to match the curvatures of concave vertebral surfaces when the implants are inserted at an oblique insertion angle.

Laser-produced porous surface

A method of forming an implant having a porous tissue ingrowth structure and a bearing support structure. The method includes depositing a first layer of a metal powder onto a substrate, scanning a laser beam over the powder so as to sinter the metal powder at predetermined locations, depositing at least one layer of the metal powder onto the first layer and repeating the scanning of the laser beam.
