Decentralized ledger system and method for enterprises

A computer-implemented method for managing enterprise transactions includes creating an overlay to a physical communications network, adding one or more nodes to the overlay, designating one or more nodes of the overlay as super nodes, generating a distributed ledger to store the transactions, and replicating the distributed ledger to all nodes of the overlay. Generating the distributed ledger includes receiving, at the super nodes, transactions from the one or more nodes, assigning, by the super nodes, the transactions to a variable size block, validating, by the super nodes, the variable size block, and linking the validated variable size block to the distributed ledger.

Solid substrates for promoting cell and tissue growth

This invention provides solid substrates for promoting cell or tissue growth or restored function, which solid substrate is characterized by a specific fluid uptake capacity value of at least 75%, which specific fluid uptake capacity value is determined by establishing a spontaneous fluid uptake value divided by a total fluid uptake value. This invention also provides solid substrates for promoting cell or tissue growth or restored function, which solid substrate is characterized by having a contact angle value of less than 60 degrees, when in contact with a fluid. This invention also provides solid substrates for promoting cell or tissue growth or restored function, which said substrate is characterized by a substantial surface roughness (Ra) as measured by scanning electron microscopy or atomic force microscopy. The invention also provides for processes for selection of an optimized coral-based solid substrate for promoting cell or tissue growth or restored function and applications of the same.

3D PRINTED IMPLANT WITH INTERNAL CHANNELS

An implant for insertion into a patient is provided. The implant includes a three-dimensionally printed structure of layers. Each layer comprises an infill pattern of the three-dimensionally printed structure, the infill pattern of each layer comprising a set of infill lines. The implant includes a plurality of hollow channels. The layers are arranged on top of one another such that the plurality of hollow channels are formed within the implant, wherein the walls of each channel are formed by sections of the infill lines of a plurality of layers of the printed structure of layers. At least one hollow channel extends between a first outer surface of the implant and a second outer surface of the implant. At least one hollow channel is oriented in a direction which is tilted with respect to a reference axis perpendicular to the first outer surface of the implant.

Intervertebral Spacers

Medical devices suitable for implantation in spaces between bones are described. An example medical device suitable for use as an intervertebral spacer includes a main body having an exterior proximal wall, an exterior distal wall, a first exterior lateral wall, a second exterior lateral wall, an upper surface, a lower surface, an interior proximal wall, an interior distal wall, a first interior lateral wall, a second interior lateral wall, and a longitudinal axis. The interior proximal wall, the interior distal wall, the first interior lateral wall, and the second interior lateral wall cooperatively define an interior cavity. The first and second exterior lateral walls are outwardly directed at an angle from the lower surface to the upper surface relative to the longitudinal axis.

IMPLANTABLE VEIN FRAME
20210177590 · 2021-06-17 ·

An implantable vein frame is contemplated in which two ring members are rigidly joined in spaced axial alignment via one or more interconnecting members. One of the one or more interconnecting members defines a protruding region that acts upon the implant placed within the frame and/or the vein that the vein frame is placed within to define a sinus region. The implant is placed within and scaffolded by the vein frame, and the vein frame is subsequently inserted within a vein via a venotomy, or interposed between two vein segments via vein interposition graft. The vein frame acts to support the structural integrity of the implant, and to scaffold and anchor the implant in place with the vein.

INTRAVASCULAR GUIDEWIRE FILTER SYSTEM FOR PULMONARY EMBOLISM PROTECTION AND EMBOLISM REMOVAL OR MACERATION

An intravascular emboli capture and retrieval system for intravascular embolism protection and embolism removal or maceration. Guidewire mounted proximally and distally located multiple opening filters are deployed within the vasculature and used to part, divide and macerate embolic debris and to capture such embolic debris within the confines thereof. A deployable flexible preformed memory shaped capture sleeve is alternatively used to collapse one or more filters and embolic debris therein for subsequent proximal withdrawal from the vasculature.

Multi-basket clot capturing device
11844538 · 2023-12-19 · ·

A multi-basket clot capturing device that includes a distal basket connected to a wire. The distal basket may be positionable distal of the clot and operable to capture a distal portion of a clot. A proximal basket may be connected to a hypotube that is slidably axially connected to the wire. The proximal basket may be positionable proximal of the clot and operable to capture a proximal portion of the clot. A cage can form between the proximal and distal baskets around multiple portions of the clot for capturing the clot. Sliding the wire distally, or microcatheter proximally, relative to the clot causes the distal basket to move from a collapsed state to an expanded state. The cage may be around at least two portions of the clot that are opposed.
