As an example, foam formulation can include a polyol composition having an amine-imitated polyol that is from 10 percent to 20 percent of a total weight of the polyol composition and an additional polyol that is from 80 percent to 90 percent of the total weight of the polyol composition, a polyisocyanate, a blowing catalyst, and a gel catalyst, where a combination of the blowing catalyst and the gel catalyst is from 0.5 percent to 1.5 percent the total weight of the polyol composition and where the blowing catalyst is from 50 percent to 100 percent of a total weight of the blowing catalyst and the gel catalyst.
Two component polyurethane composition
The invention relates to a polyurethane composition comprising one first component and one second component, said first component comprising an alkoxylated aromatic diol, a low molecular aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diol, a specific polybutadiene polyol and a specific polyetherpolyol, in specific ratios. The hardened composition is characterized by having good adhesion characteristics, a resistance which is only slightly dependent on the temperature, in the temperature range of −35 to +85° C. and also very high resistances. It is particularly suitable as a structural adhesive for bonding two substrates.
COMPOSITION WHICH FORMS AN INSULATING LAYER AND USE OF SAID COMPOSITION
The invention relates to a composition which forms an insulating layer and which contains a binder based on polyurea. The inventive composition, which has a relatively high expansion rate, allows application, in a simple and rapid manner, of coatings having the layer thickness required for the particular fire resistance time, it being possible to reduce the layer thickness to a minimum and nevertheless to achieve high insulating action. The inventive composition is particularly suitable for fire protection, especially as a coating for metallic and nonmetallic substrates, for instance steel components such as pillars, beams and bars, for increasing the fire resistance time.
Viscoelastic sound-absorbing polyurethane foam and preparation method thereof
The present invention discloses a viscoelastic sound-absorbing polyurethane foam and a method for preparing the same, the foam being prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate composition and an isocyanate reactive component. The isocyanate reactive component comprises, based on the weight of mixed polyethers, 30-80 wt % of (bii) a copolyol of epoxypropane-epoxyethane, or a conjugate thereof, wherein the content of oxy-ethylidene unit is 5-35 wt %; 2-20 wt % of (biii) a copolyol of epoxypropane-epoxyethane, or a conjugate thereof, wherein the content of oxy-ethylidene unit is 70-100 wt %; and 20-70 wt % of (biv) a copolyol of epoxypropane-epoxyethane, or a conjugate thereof, wherein the content of oxy-ethylidene unit is 0-20 wt %. The sound-absorbing foam of the present invention has a ball rebound rate of 15-30% and good sound absorption performance.
