A blowing agent composition includes a blowing agent and a nucleating agent. The nucleating agent includes 1,2,2-trifluoro-1-trifluoromethylcyclobutane. The 1,2,2-trifluoro-1-trifluoromethylcyclobutane is present in the blowing agent composition in an amount from about 0.5 wt. % to about 7 wt. % of the blowing agent composition.

The present disclosure provides minimum-boiling, homogeneous azeotropic and azeotrope-like compositions of 1,2,2-trifluoro-1-trifluoromethylcyclobutane (TFMCB) with each of ethanol, n-pentane, cyclopentane, trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, and perfluoro(2-methyl-3-pentanone).
SOLVENT COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING 1,2,2-TRIFLUORO-1-TRIFLUOROMETHYLCYCLOBUTANE (TFMCB)
The use of compositions comprising 1,2,2-trifluoro-1-trifluoromethyl cyclobutane (TFMCB) as a solvent are disclosed, wherein the TFMCB may be formulated into solvent compositions including a co-solvent such as ethanol or trans-dichloroethylene (trans-DCE). The solvent compositions may be in the form of a sprayable aerosol composition, and may be used for applications including degreasing or removal of coatings such as paints and adhesives.
HEAT TRANSFER FLUIDS, METHODS AND SYSTEMS
A heat transfer fluid including 1-trifluoromethyl-1,2,2-trifluorocyclobutane (TFMCB) for high temperature heat transfer applications and environmental and safety requirements, which is non-flammable (and has no flash point below 100 F.), has low toxicity, an ODP of <0.01 and a GWP of 44, is dielectric and electrically stable.

The present invention provides a polyurethane composite material. The present invention uses coffee powder in the polyurethane material, so the obtained polyurethane composite material not only meets the requirement on mechanical property of the polyurethane material, but also has an excellent adsorption effect. Furthermore, by the use of moisture adsorption and deodorization characteristics of coffee grounds, the intrinsic chemical odor of a polyurethane product can be reduced and the polyurethane material has an aromatic odor of coffee; and the polyurethane material prepared by the invention has the strong adsorption function, and thus can remove the external odor, can make a space using the polyurethane product more fresh, and takes the environment purifying effect.

Provided is a polyether-modified silicone composition. The composition comprises (A) a polyether-modified silicone, and (B) a monool organic compound. The monool organic compound (B) is selected from (B1) a glycol ether compound having a hydrogen atom substituted by an alkyl group having from 2 to 8 carbon atoms at one end, a secondary alcoholic hydroxy group at the other end, from 2 to 3 repeating oxyalkylene units having from 2 to 4 carbon atoms, and (B2) a tripropylene glycol monomethyl ether. Isopropyl alcohol does not exceed 1 mass % of the entire composition. Applications and manufacturing methods for the composition are also provided.
COLD FLEXIBLE POLYURETHANE FORMULATION
Described herein are processes for producing cold-flexible polyurethane insulation, in which (a) polyisocyanates are mixed with (b) compounds having groups which are reactive to isocyanates, (c) blowing agents, (d) catalysts, (e) plasticizers and optionally (f) further additives to give a reaction mixture and the mixture is applied to a surface and cured to form insulation. Also described herein is a polyurethane insulation obtainable by a process described herein.
Methods of forming polyol premixes and foamable compositions and foams formed therefrom
This invention relates to thermoset, thermal insulating panel, pour-in-place and pour-in-place foams having desirable and unexpectedly low thermal conductivity, and to compositions, method and systems which use and/or are used to make such foams comprising: (a) providing thermosetting foam forming component and a blowing agent for forming predominantly closed cells in the foam, wherein the blowing agent comprises: (i) cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene (HFO-1336mzzm(Z)) and cyclopentane, with the HFO-1336mzzm(Z) and cyclopentane in the blowing agent together comprising at least about 50% by weight of the total of all components in the blowing agent and (ii) the weight ratio of HFO-1336mzzm(Z) to cyclopentane in the blowing agent is from about 45:55 to less than 68:32 and (b) forming foam from said provided foamable composition.
