COMPOSITIONS FOR MITIGATING LOW SPEED PRE-IGNITION EVENTS
Fuel composition for preventing or reducing low speed pre-ignition events in a spark-ignited internal combustion engine is provided. The fuel composition includes a hydrocarbon fuel boiling the gasoline or diesel range and a primary additive having a structure given by

or a salt thereof. A is a ring moiety; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently H, C.sub.1-C.sub.20 hydrocarbyl group, carboxyl group, ether, or hydroxyl group. R 3 and R 4 are independently H, C.sub.1-C.sub.20 hydrocarbyl group, carboxyl group, ether, amino, or hydroxyl group or wherein R 3 and R 4 are part of a cyclic group. R.sub.5 is C.sub.1-C.sub.100 hydrocarbyl group, carboxyl group, ether, or hydroxyl group; and p is 0 to 2, n is 1 to 3, m is 1 to 3, and p+n+m is less than 5.

A fuel composition including a middle distillate fuel oil obtained from the distillation of a pyrolysis oil and, as an additive, one or more of: (a) an antioxidant; and (b) a stabilising additive selected from (x) alkoxylated amine compounds; (y) aldehyde-alkylphenol copolymers; (z) acylated nitrogen compounds; and mixtures thereof. Also disclosed are a method and use for improving the stability of a fuel composition comprising a middle distillate fuel oil obtained from the distillation of a pyrolysis oil, which involve adding to the composition one or more additives selected from (a) and (b).
Nitrogen-containing diesel solidification point depressant composition, and preparation and application thereof
The present invention relates to a nitrogen-containing diesel solidification point depressant composition, and preparation and application thereof. The nitrogen-containing diesel solidification point depressant composition includes the following components in percentage by weight: 10-40% of monoisopropanolamine; 10-40% of cyclohexane; 0-20% of polyethylene glycol; and 40-60% of N-tetradecyl methacrylamide-tetradecyl methacrylate. After the prepared diesel solidification point depressant composition is added to commercially available 0 #diesel, a solidification point and a cold filter plugging point of the diesel are respectively depressed by 21-25? C. and 9-13? C.

The composition of the present invention related to a quaternary ammonium salt detergent and the use of such quaternary ammonium salt detergents in a fuel composition to reduce diesel injector deposits and remove or clean up existing deposits on the diesel injectors.

Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenging Additive Composition and Method of Use Thereof
The present invention relates to an additive composition for scavenging hydrogen sulfide in hydrocarbons, wherein said additive composition comprises a combination of (a) glyoxal and (b) at least one aliphatic tertiary amine or oxide treated derivative thereof, or a mixture of the aliphatic tertiary amine and the oxide treated derivative thereof. In one embodiment it also relates to a method for scavenging hydrogen sulfide in hydrocarbons, and in another embodiment it relates to a method of using an additive composition of the present invention for scavenging hydrogen sulfide in hydrocarbons. In yet another embodiment it relates to a composition for scavenging hydrogen sulfide in hydrocarbons comprising (A) a hydrocarbon and (B) a hydrogen sulfide scavenging additive composition of the present invention.

Nitrogen Based Hydrogen Sulfide Scavengers and Method of Use Thereof
The present invention relates to a hydrogen sulphide scavenging additive composition for scavenging hydrogen sulphide including sulfur containing compounds and mercaptans, particularly for scavenging hydrogen sulfide in hydrocarbons, wherein the additive composition comprises substantially reduced amount of nitrogen based hydrogen sulfide scavengers, and is also required in substantially reduced amount, and wherein the additive composition scavenges the sulfur containing compounds not only at room temperature, but also at higher temperatures, and comprises at least a combination of: (A) at least one nitrogen based hydrogen sulfide scavenger; and (B) at least one aliphatic tertiary amine, wherein the nitrogen based hydrogen sulfide scavenger comprises triazine based hydrogen sulfide scavenger. In one embodiment, it also relates to a method for scavenging hydrogen sulfide in hydrocarbons, and in another embodiment it relates to a method of using an additive composition of the present invention for scavenging hydrogen sulfide in hydrocarbons. In yet another embodiment, it relates to a composition comprising (i) a hydrocarbon and (ii) a hydrogen sulfide scavenging additive composition for scavenging hydrogen sulfide in hydrocarbons.
