PROSTHETIC HEART VALVE DOCKING ASSEMBLY
Embodiments of the present disclosure include an implantable assembly for a native heart valve that includes a prosthetic heart valve and a braided support structure. The prosthetic valve includes a frame and prosthetic leaflets. The braided support structure has an inner braided layer and an outer braided layer. The outer braided layer is disposed over the inner braided layer. The outer braided layer is less porous to blood than the inner braided layer. The braided support structure defines a plurality of arms that are angularly spaced around the prosthetic heart valve such that each arm extends radially outwardly from the prosthetic heart valve. Other embodiments are also described.
MEDICAL VALVE AND LEAFLET PROMOTING TISSUE INGROWTH
Described embodiments are directed toward centrally-opening leaflet prosthetic valve devices having synthetic leaflets that are configured to promote and encourage tissue ingrowth thereon and/or therein. The leaflets are coupled to a leaflet frame to form a prosthetic valve suitable for use in biological anatomy.
Fully-transseptal apical pad with pulley for tensioning
An apical pad for securing a prosthetic heart valve within a native valve annulus. The apical pad includes a first collar, a second collar and plurality of struts extending between the first collar and the second collar. The plurality of struts has a delivery condition in which the plurality of struts collectively form a first cross-section and a deployed condition in which the plurality of struts collectively form a second cross-section greater than the first cross-section. The apical pad may be coupled to a tether extending from a prosthetic heart valve and may transition from the delivery condition to the deployed condition by tensioning the tether.
Single plane tissue repair patch
A novel single plane tissue repair patch is disclosed. The patch has a base member with an opening therethrough, and a closure member associated with the opening. The mesh may be used in open surgical procedures for hernia repairs and other repairs of body wall defects.
CONTROLLED INGROWTH FEATURE FOR ANTIMIGRATION
A tubular prosthesis that includes a scaffolding formed by at least one scaffolding filament; a cover; and at least one controlled ingrowth feature constructed and arranged to abut an inner surface of a lumen wall when the prosthesis is implanted in the body lumen.
The controlled ingrowth feature may extend inwards or outwards from the prosthesis outer surface. The controlled ingrowth feature may be formed by a scaffolding filament; by a separate filament; by the cover; and combinations thereof
PROSTHESIS FOR HERNIA REPAIR
The present invention relates to a prosthesis (1) for hernia repair comprising a reinforcement layer (2), a first barrier layer (3) of anti-adhesion material covering at least a part of a surface of the reinforcement layer, and a second barrier layer of anti-adhesion material covering a remaining part of the surface of the reinforcement layer, the second barrier layer being formed of one or more flap member(s) (4).
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A STORABLE MOLDED BODY MADE OF BACTERIAL CELLULOSE AND A MOLDED BODY PRODUCED ACCORDING TO THE METHOD
The invention relates to a method for producing a storable molded body made of bacterial cellulose and a molded body produced according to the method. A preferred method includes providing a molded body made of bacterial cellulose. Optionally, mechanically pressing the entire molded body or parts of the molded body at temperatures in the range of 10° C. to 100° C. and pressures in the range of 0.01 to 1 MPa for a pressing time of 10-200 min. Treating the molded body with a solution of 20% by weight to 50% by weight of glycerol and 50% by weight to 80% by weight of a C1-C3-alcohol/water mixture. Drying the treated molded body.
Stent apparatus having self-pleated skirt, processing method therefor, skirt pleating method, and cardiac valve
Disclosed in the present invention are a stent apparatus having a self-pleated skirt, a processing method therefor, a skirt pleating method, and a cardiac valve. The stent apparatus comprises a stent, and is further provided with a flexible skirt. The skirt comprises: an unfolded state, where the skirt extends axially and surrounds the periphery of the stent before release; and a stacked state, where the skirt is driven by deformation during release of the stent, and gathers and is stacked along an axial direction of the released stent to form an annular perivalvular leakage blocking part. The stent apparatus is further provided with a pull-wire which is merely threaded on the skirt, and the pull-wire may react to the radial deformation during the release of the stent to drive the skirt to enter the stacked state. According to the present invention, based on perivalvular leakage prevention technology, an interventional stent is fitted with the lining of the blood vessels, so that the stent will not easily be migrated and is more stable, the scope of the applicable population is expanded, additional surgical risks are lowered, and perivalvular leakage, thrombi and other complications are prevented. Better hemodynamic performance is provided, the coverage function of endothelial cells of the host is enhanced, the probability of occurrence of endocarditis is lowered, and the normal blood supply function of the heart and blood vessels is recovered.
Single plane tissue repair patch
A novel single plane tissue repair device such as a patch is disclosed. The device has a base member with an opening therethrough, and a closure member associated with the opening. The mesh has a biaborbable polymeric adhesion barrier attached to the bottom side of the base member about its periphery to form a pocket that is accessible through the opening. The mesh may be used in open surgical procedures for hernia repairs and other repairs of body wall defects.
