MIXED LIQUID AGENT, POLYURETHANE COMPOSITION, POLYURETHANE FOAM, SPRAY CAN, AND MIXING SYSTEM

A mixed liquid agent of the present invention comprises a polyol compound, a catalyst, a flame retardant, and an organic solvent. The flame retardant includes a solid flame retardant. The organic solvent has a vapor pressure at 20° C. of 0.1 MPaG or more. A viscosity at 1 rpm and 25° C. after the organic solvent has been volatilized is 4,000 mPa.Math.s or more and less than 250,000 mPa.Math.s.

A composition of ionic silylated copolyurethanes comprising two ureido-alkylene-alkoxysilane end groups, said composition being able to be obtained by means of the process. A method of producing a closed-cell and rigid foam. The method comprises reacting an isocyanate composition including one or more polyisocyanates and a polyol composition including one or more polyols including one or more aromatic polyester polyols having a hydroxyl functionality of greater than 2 and one or more physical and/or chemical blowing agents including methylal to form a closed-cell and rigid foam configured to retain at least 85% of an initial volume of the closed-cell and rigid foam when exposed to about 97% relative humidity at about 70° C. for at least seven or more days.

A process for preparing a thermoplastic polymer involves reacting at least components (a) to (b), in the presence of a catalyst composition (c). Component (a) is an isocyanate composition containing at least one uretdione diisocyanate (a-i), and component (b) is an epoxide composition containing at least one diepoxide (b-i). The catalyst composition (c) contains at least one ionic liquid (c-i), preferably selected from 1-ethyl-3-methyl imidazolium bromide, 1-benzyl-3-methyl imidazolium chloride. 1-butyl-1-methylpiperidinium chloride, 1-ethyl-2,3-dimethylimidazolium bromide, 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-3-methyl imidazolium chloride, butyl-1-methylpiperidinium acetate, or mixtures of two or more thereof. A thermoplastic polymer obtained or obtainable from the process is useful for the preparation of a fibre or a molded article or as a modifier for another thermoplastic material.

Polyurethane foams are made by curing a reaction mixture that contains an aromatic polyisocyanate, at least one isocyanate-reactive material having an average functionality of at least 2 and an equivalent weight of at least 200 per isocyanate-reactive group, at least one blowing agent, at least one surfactant and at least one catalyst, at least one cyclic 1,3-diketone and at least one aminoalcohol or alkylhydroxylamine. Foams so produced emit low levels of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and propionaldehyde.

Hydrofluoroolefin (“HFO”)-containing isocyanate-reactive compositions, foam-forming compositions containing such isocyanate-reactive compositions, rigid foams made using such foam-forming compositions, and methods for producing such foams, including use of such foams as panel insulation. The isocyanate-reactive compositions include a polyol composition, a blowing agent composition, and a catalyst composition. The polyol composition includes 50% to 80% by weight, based on total weight of the polyol composition, of an aromatic polyester polyol having a functionality of 1.5 to 2.5 and an OH number of 150 to 360 mg KOH/g, and an amine-initiated polyether polyol having an OH number of more than 500 mg KOH/g and a functionality of 2.5 to 4. The blowing agent composition includes a hydrofluoroolefin and water. The catalyst composition includes a morpholine, an imidazole, a quaternary ammonium carboxylate, and a metal carboxylate.
