Polyol component and use thereof for producing rigid polyurethane foams
A polyol component P) contains at least three different polyether polyols A) to C). A method produces rigid polyurethane foams using the polyol component P), and the rigid polyurethane foams produced therefrom are useful.
Polyol premixes, thermally insulating rigid polyurethane foams and methods for their production
Polyol premixes and thermally insulating rigid polyurethane foams, such as those that can be used as a thermal insulation medium in the construction of refrigerated storage devices, are disclosed. A polymer polyol having a OH number of greater than 260 mg KOH/g is utilized. The resulting polyurethane foams can exhibit improved thermal insulation properties without sacrificing other important physical and processing properties.
MODIFIED ARYLHYDROXY COMPOUNDS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF POLYURETHANE OR POLYISOCYANURATE
Esterified arylhydroxy compounds for the production of polyurethane or polyisocyanurate. In order to provide aromatic polyols for the production of polyurethanes or polyisocyanurates which are process-technically suitable in terms of their viscosity and at the same time give the end product good physical properties and a good reaction to fire, esterified arylhydroxy compounds are proposed as polyols.
One component polyurethane/allophanate formulations with reactive reducer
The present invention provides an allophanate polymer system made by a method comprising combining a neutralized polyol with a polyuretdione resin in the presence of a reactive reducer comprising a reducing agent and a tertiary amine catalyst to produce a clear-coat, and contacting the clear-coat with a basecoat comprising a tertiary amine catalyst. The reaction between the polyol and the polyuretdione will proceed after the reactive reducer reduces the viscosity of the one component clear-coat formulation to appropriate levels. The inventive allophanate polymer system is particularly applicable in providing coatings, adhesives, castings, composites, and sealants with good performance.
UREA RESIN COMPOSITION AND POLYUREA FOAM
A urea resin composition capable of providing a polyurea foam exhibiting excellent flame retardancy and shape retention during combustion, capable of suppressing deterioration over time in a wet-heat environment, exhibiting excellent adhesion to an adherend during coating, being hardly cracked even if flame contact occurs, and hardly allowing carbonization to proceed to a deep portion of the foam. A urea resin composition comprising a polyisocyanate compound (A), a polyamine compound (B), a trimerization catalyst, a foaming agent, a foam stabilizer, and a flame retardant.
EXPANDED FOAM SOLUTION AND THERMOSETTING EXPANDED FOAM HAVING EXCELLENT FLAME RETARDANCY USING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to an expanded foam solution for forming a thermosetting expanded foam having excellent flame retardancy produced using the same. According to the present disclosure, nanoclay is mixed with a polyol-based compound using ultrasonic waves, an isocyanate-based compound is added, and a trimerization catalyst or an isocyanurate compound is mixed with the polyol-based compound so that an isocyanurate structure is formed.
Flexible foaming process for producing thermally insulated articles
A flexible discontinuous process produces a series of at least two articles containing thermally insulating polyurethane foam from at least three streams (A), (B) and (C). The process involves mixing the at least three streams with different mixing ratios and injecting the mixture into cavities of the articles. A production unit can be used for performing this process.
Long term improvement of thermal insulation values in rigid polyisocyanurate/polyurethane comprising insulation foams
Polyisocyanurate (PIR) and/or polyurethane (PUR) comprising insulation foams having significantly improved long term insulation values are disclosed as well as a processing method to fabricate said improved insulation foams and use of the improved insulation foams for thermal insulation.
Polyuretdione-containing resin blend compositions
The present invention provides a reaction mixture comprising a blend of a first isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin and a second isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin, a neutralized polyol and a tertiary amine catalyst, and optionally, an additive package selected from the group consisting of flow control additives, pigments (colorants), wetting agents, and solvents, wherein the first isocyanate and the second isocyanate are different. The first isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin and the second isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin may be cold blended or hot blended. Coatings, adhesives, castings, composites, and sealants made from hot blended formulations exhibit superior performance over those made from cold blended formulations.
