Wax-organic extender emulsion and method for manufacture thereof
A wax-extender emulsion including a plurality of wax-extender complex particles suspended in water is described. A wax-extender complex includes a wax component, an organic extender component and a surfactant that stabilizes the wax component and the organic extender component collectively to form the wax-extender complex. The wax-extender emulsion comprises from 2 wt % to 30 wt % organic extender. During manufacturing, the organic extender and wax component are emulsified and homogenized together to produce the wax-extender emulsion. The wax-extender emulsion can be co-applied as a mixture with adhesive resin during wood-based composite manufacturing.
POLYURETHANES FROM DEPOLYMERIZED LIGNIN CONTAINING LIGNIN MONOMERS
In general the present invention relates to polyurethanes based on the reaction of (a) a disocianate composition with (b) depolymerized lignin containing lignin-derived monomers, or the products of their respective functionalization; (c) a polyol composition, if desired (d) chain extenders, if desired. (e) additives, if desired. More specifically, this process relates to the use of depolymerized lignins containing varying amounts of 4-hydroxylalkylphenols or 4-alkylphenols and their derivatives. The polyurethanes can be partially or fully bio-based. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for preparing these polyurethanes and to their use.

FOAMED POLYURETHANE COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed are low-viscosity foamable polyurethane-forming compositions containing a polyol composition having monomeric and higher polyol components and optionally a polyhydroxylated aromatic compound; a polyisocyanate or latent polyisocyanate component or a combination thereof; a blowing agent; and optionally a cyclic carbonate having one or more hydroxyl groups. The monomeric and higher polyols each contain three or more hydroxyl groups, the higher polyol containing residues of the monomeric polyol and optionally residues of the polyhydroxylated aromatic compound, the residues being linked by one or more carbonate and/or ether groups. The Disclosed foamable polyurethane-forming compositions may contain the polyol compositions disclosed; an isocyanate functional component; and a blowing agent. The foamable compositions afford high strength, heat-resistant, low to moderate density foamed-polyurethane compositions useful in a variety of applications including construction, vehicle and packaging applications.

The invention relates to a method for producing a cured composition which has at least one oxazolidinone ring and at least one isocyanurate ring and is cross-linked by the same, starting from a liquid reactive mixture which, based on the total weight thereof, contains at least one epoxy resin, at least one polyisocyanate, at least one polyol, and at least one catalyst composition. The invention further relates to the cured composition obtainable thereby.

Graphene-modified elastomer material and its preparation method
A graphene-modified elastomer material and its preparation method. The elastomer material comprises a first component and a second component; the first component comprises isocyanate prepolymer obtained through reaction of polyol and isocyanate, and the isocyanate prepolymer has a —NCO content of 22-30%; the second component comprises the following components in parts by weight: 60-90 parts of polyetheramine, 1-10 parts of liquid amine chain extender, 1-5 parts of polytetrahydrofuran ether polyol, and 1-5 parts of graphenes. Through adjusting the —NCO content of the isocyanate prepolymer, increasing the hard segment content, and combining with the components in the second component, the invention ensures the elasticity of the polymer while improving its mechanical properties such as hardness and bending strength.

An etheramine mixture comprising one or more polyether diamines, methods for its production, and its use as a curing agent for epoxy resins. The etheramine mixture may also be used in the preparation of polyamides and polyurea compounds.
Method of making a grease thickener and the thickener made by the method
A continuous process for producing a polyurea concentrate or powder. The process includes combing at least one amine and an isocayante in the presence of a liquid diluent or a base oil in a rotor stator mixer. The concentrate comprises a polyurea in a base oil wherein the concentration of from about 20 weight percent to about 50, or 40 or 35 or 30 weight percent of polyurea based on total weight of grease thickener. The powder has particle size of 2 to 400 microns. This concentrate or powder can then be formulated by grease manufacturers to the desired final properties without the need for handling of the isocyanate and amine raw materials.
THERMOPLASTIC MOULDING COMPOSITION CONTAINING POLYALKYLENE TEREPHTHALATE
