One-component toughened epoxy adhesives with improved adhesion to oily surfaces and high wash-off resistance
Epoxy adhesives include a latent curing agent, a reactive toughener having capped isocyanate groups, and certain urea compounds. The toughener is made by chain extending and capping a mixture of isocyanate-terminated prepolymers. The prepolymers include an isocyanate-terminated polyether and an isocyanate-terminated diene polymer. The adhesives have excellent wash-off resistance and excellent ability to adhere to oily substrates.
SINGLE-COMPONENT THERMOSETTING EPOXY RESIN HAVING HIGH SCOURING RESISTANCE
A single-component thermosetting epoxy resin adhesives, including: a) at least one epoxy resin having, on average, more than one epoxy group per molecule; b) at least one latent hardener for epoxy resins; and c) 2-7 wt % aerogel particles, relative to the total weight of the single-component thermosetting epoxy resin adhesive, wherein the epoxy resin adhesive has a viscosity of 1000-4000 Pas, in particular 1000-3500 Pas, at 25° C., wherein the viscosity is oscillographically determined by means of a rheometer having a heatable plate (MCR 301, AntonPaar) (gap 1000 μm, measurement plate diameter: 25 mm (plate/plate), deformation 0.01 at 5 Hz, temperature: 25° C.). The epoxy resin adhesives are characterized in that they can be easily applied in the temperature range from 40° C. to 70° C. and are scouring-resistant, even at higher temperatures.

ONE COMPONENT THERMOSETTING EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITIONS
A one-component thermosetting epoxy resin includes compositions that are particularly suitable for the bonding of substrates having different coefficients of thermal expansion, especially in the shell construction of modes of transport or white goods. The one-component thermosetting epoxy resin composition includes a) at least one epoxy resin A having an average of more than one epoxy group per molecule; b) at least one 2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazine GU containing, in the 6 position, —an alkyl radical having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, in which one hydrogen atom in the α position has been replaced by a 2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazin-6-yl radical, a cycloalkyl radical having 5 to 12 carbon atoms or -an aryl radical having 6 to 12 carbon atoms; and c) at least one toughness improver D, which is a terminally blocked polyurethane polymer D1.
AQUEOUS COATING COMPOSITION FOR SIDE SEAM STRIP OR SIDE SEAM COATING ON THREE-PIECE CAN
An aqueous coating composition includes: i) an aqueous dispersion of a hydroxyl functional acrylic polymer; ii) a urethane component; iii) a hydroxyl reactive crosslinking agent different from component ii); and iv) an aqueous liquid carrier. The coating composition has a volatile organic (VOC) content of less than 420 g/L, and may be applied to a side seam strip or a side seam of a three-piece can.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITION, RUBBER-ORGANIC FIBER CORD COMPOSITE, AND TIRE
Provided is an adhesive composition capable of achieving excellent adhesion and mechanical stability even when it contains no formalin or resorcin. The adhesive composition contains (A) rubber latex, and (B) a compound having an acrylamide structure.
CARDANOL BLOCKED ISOCYANATE ADHESION PROMOTOR FOR PVC PLASTISOL
The present invention relates to a PVC plastisol composition comprising at least one vinyl chloride polymer selected from polyvinylchlorides and copolymers of vinyl chloride with one or more monomers; at least one plasticizer; at least one epoxy resin; and at least one isocyanate resin blocked with cardanol. The PVC plastisol composition of this invention provides strong adhesion to the surface of various metals or various undercoats of metals by thermal treatment for a short time at 100 C-200 C. and is excellent in storage stability. In addition, it offers good rheological properties with improved yield value dosing and viscosity stability during applications compared to the nonylphenol blocked isocyanate PVC adhesion promotor.
Method for forming multilayer coating film
The present invention provides the following method for forming a multilayer coating film. The method comprises forming an uncured coating film of a specific primer paint composition (A) on a substrate, forming a top coating film of a specific top paint composition (B) on the uncured coating film, and simultaneously drying the films. The primer paint composition (A) is a paint composition comprising an epoxy resin (a1), a rust preventive pigment (a2), a color pigment (a3), and an extender pigment (a4); and the top paint composition (B) is a paint composition comprising an acrylic resin (b1) and an active methylene blocked polyisocyanate compound (b2).

One-component toughened epoxy structural adhesives contain fibrous mineral fillers that have an aspect ratio of 6. The presence of the fibrous filler leads to a significant increase in elastic modulus while having little if any adverse effect on other properties such as dynamic impact peel resistance.
