Patient transport apparatus with crash detection
A patient transport apparatus with a support structure having a base, a support frame, and a patient support deck defining a support surface. An inertial sensor is coupled to the support structure and generates a signal representing a change in velocity of the support structure. A controller in communication with the inertial sensor has a processor and a non-transitory storage medium having stored thereon a program that monitors the signal generated by the inertial sensor for changes relative to a predetermined threshold. In response to an event in which the signal exceeds the predetermined threshold, the program is further configured to: generate a waveform based on the signal received from the inertial sensor; store the waveform at an overwritable address in the non-transitory storage medium; and generate an entry in an event log stored in the non-transitory storage medium, the entry comprising one or more parameters associated with the waveform.
PERSONNEL TRANSPORTATION POD
A personnel transportation pod for transporting, remote monitoring of, and/or providing medical support to at least one individual, the pod comprising: an airtight structure comprising walls forming an enclosed interior and an exposed exterior, wherein at least one of the walls comprise at least one opening for providing a passage for the individual from the exterior of the pod to the interior and vice versa, wherein the opening is sealable by a hatch; a connection means on the exterior of the pod, wherein the connection means enables the pod to be connected to a vehicle; a remote monitoring system comprising a monitoring means; a medical support system comprising life support equipment and at least one remotely operable robot capable of manipulating equipment and/or each individual; and a communication system, wherein in use, the communication system enables remote monitoring of each individual within the pod and remote utilisation of each robot to treat each individual.
Aeromedical ambulance equipment
The invention provides aeromedical ambulance equipment. In some embodiments, the equipment includes a module base comprising a mount assembly having an unlocked configuration and a locked configuration. The mount assembly preferably can be adjusted between the unlocked and locked configurations by a tool-free operation. In addition, certain embodiments provide a module base having an advantageous system for releasably locking a stretcher onto the module base.
