Patient transport apparatus

A patient transfer apparatus includes a seat assembly, a track assembly coupled to the seat assembly and including a track configured to engage the stairs in a stair traversing position, and front wheels coupled to the seat assembly for engagement with a floor in a transport position. The seat assembly includes a frame and a seat for supporting a patient. A front end of the track assembly is adjacent the front wheels without interfering with movement of the wheels in the transport position.

MOBILITY DEVICE

A powered balancing mobility device that can provide the user the ability to safely navigate expected environments of daily living including the ability to maneuver in confined spaces and to climb curbs, stairs, and other obstacles, and to travel safely and comfortably in vehicles. The mobility device can provide elevated, balanced travel.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FEATURE MANAGEMENT
20230196866 · 2023-06-22 ·

A system for controlling the features of a device, and in particular, controlling the features based on a variety of triggers, both internal and external, such as, for example, but not limited to, safety, user actions, and economics. With respect to internal triggers, the system can enable the device to shut down its features when certain types of behaviors or environmental parameters are detected. With respect to external triggers, the system can enable the device features to be controlled externally based on pre-established or dynamically-determined parameters. With respect to safety triggers, the system can determine if a device is currently in a specific state, and if so, determine what controls are appropriate in the specific state.

Patient transport apparatus user interface

A patient transport apparatus operable by a user for transporting a patient along stairs. A seat section is coupled to a support structure supporting a track assembly having a belt. A motor selectively generates torque to drive the belt. A user interface is arranged for engagement by the user, and has a direction input control for selecting a drive direction of the motor, and an activation input control for operating the motor to drive the belt. A controller in communication with the motor and the user interface is configured to limit operation of the motor in response to user engagement of the activation input control preceding engagement of the direction input control to prevent driving the belt, and to permit operation of the motor in response to user engagement of the activation input control following engagement of the direction input control to drive the belt in a selected drive direction.

Chassis

A sport-wheeled chassis is provided for connecting to a mobility device, which comprises a suspension set up under the bottom of the mobility device, a steering pivotally connected to the suspension, a controller connected to the suspension and steering electrically, tires which are pivotally connected to the steering and disposed under the steering, and a steering shaft of the steering which coincides axially with the steering shaft of the tire so that the controller can operate the turning direction of the tire and the height of the suspension through the suspension and the steering. The chassis is not only with a simple structure, but also with a suspension to control the height of the chassis off the ground, so that the chassis can maintain stability in any rugged environment, and, with its attached wheels, the chassis can move to desired places fast and accurately.

LOW GRAVITY ALL-SURFACE VEHICLE
20170305261 · 2017-10-26 ·

Vehicles are disclosed which have a lower center of gravity than existing all-terrain, amphibious, and unmanned ground vehicles due to the location of propulsion units and other vehicle components inside the wheels of the vehicle. The vehicles can climb over large obstacles yet are also able to corner at high speeds. The vehicles can be configured for direct manual operation or operation by remote control, and can also be configured for a wide variety of missions.

User Control Device for a Transporter

A user control device for a transporter. The user control device can communicate with the transporter via electrical interface(s) that can facilitate communication and data processing among the user interface device and controllers that can control the movement of the transporter. The user control device can perform automated actions based on the environment in which the transporter operates and the user's desired movement of the transporter. External applications can enable monitoring and control of the transporter.

WEIGHT ACTIVATED WHEEL BRAKE APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
20170291626 · 2017-10-12 ·

An apparatus and system for facilitating the controlled ascent and descent of stepped or irregular inclines, such as a set or flight of stairs. In an embodiment, the invention comprises an apparatus and system that allows an operator to safely transport a heavy load up or down a flight of stairs. The invention may be utilized with, attached to or incorporated within a transporting carrier, such as a hand truck or hand cart, for transporting heavy cargo up or down stepped or irregular inclines. In an embodiment, the invention allows a wheel to rotate freely in one direction while regulating the rotation of said wheel in the opposite direction such that a braking force in said opposite direction is proportional to the apparent weight and angle of inclination of said carrier. In operation, a gravitationally induced increase in an apparent weight activates the invention's braking system, thereby providing a braking force to the carrier wheel.

Seat for a stair lift
