FOLDING WHEELCHAIR
20200405551 · 2020-12-31 ·

A folding wheelchair is disclosed having a frame with two side portions, a seat and a folding mechanism. The folding mechanism has coupling connections, pivoting connections and a cross-strut with two bars crossing at a pivot point. First ends of each of the cross-strut bars are mounted rotatably on the side portions of the frame via the pivoting connections. Second ends of each of the cross-strut bars are releasably mounted on the other of the two side portions of the frame via the coupling connections. A distance between the frame side portions may be modified if the cross-strut bars second ends are released from the frame side portions. The cross-strut bars are pivoted relative to each other about the pivot point. The cross-strut extends from the first ends to the second ends of the bars in a cross-strut direction which, in the operating position, extends substantially along the seat.

A rollable user-support device comprising a rigid frame with first legs and second legs, each with a rollable and swivelable wheel, a seat with a seat folding mechanism and/or a seat manipulation mechanism. The seat manipulation mechanism can be operable to move the seat, with a user seated thereon, between a lower rearward seating position and an elevated forward seating position, and the seat folding mechanism can be operable to move the seat between the elevated forward seating position and a folded position, at least one of the devices being connected to a swivel prevention mechanism associated with the first wheels. The device can constitute a bi-directional rollable user-support device operable in three modes.

Convertible mobility device

The present invention provides an assistive mobility device convertible between a rollator mode and a transport chair mode.

AUTOMATIC LOCKING MECHANISM FOR COLLAPSIBLE ELEMENTS

The present invention relates to an automatic lock mechanism for foldable systems, where such lock mechanism is used with any kind of foldable system, such as a stretcher that consists of a plurality of panels, where the intelligent lock of each foldable panel is made by a measurement system that determines when the folds are in the desired position, this is, parallel to one another or one after the other, and an electronic lock system that triggers a magnetic lock when panels reach the desired position to create a stiff element from the panels comprising the foldable system.

Folding wheelchair

A folding wheelchair includes two side frames, which are connected to each other via a cross-strut. A fabric is stretched between the side frames in order to form a seating area of a seat. The side frames are formed identically and include an outer tube and an inner tube. The outer tubes have a slot extending in a longitudinal direction (L), which opens at least into an outer tube end. The inner tubes each include a slot extending in the longitudinal direction (L), which opens at least into an inner tube end. A tensioning rod is accommodated in one of the outer tubes and opens into the associated inner tube. The fabric is led to the outside through the slots of the inner tube and outer tube. The inner tube, the fabric and the tensioning rod are connected to one another.

MOBILE STANDER WITH ENHANCED ADJUSTABILITY AND STORAGE

A stander device with improvements to facilitate and/or make more convenient the adjustment and/or repositioning of various elements of the stander device for sizing and comfort of a patient/user, as well as making the folding, storage, and transportation thereof more convenient.

Folding latch mechanism with multiple latch positions

A latch mechanism for wheelchair seatbacks has multiple latch positions. The latch mechanism comprises a latch plate for supporting the back cane. The latch plate comprises a first relief and a second relief spaced from the first relief. A pivot pin is provided between the first and second reliefs for supporting the latch plate for pivotal movement in relation to the seat rail. A first catch is supported in relation to the latch plate for releasably engaging the first relief upon pivoting the latch plate in a first direction to lower the back cane to a folded position. A second catch is supported in relation to the latch plate for releasably engaging the second relief upon pivoting the latch plate in a second direction to raise the back cane to an unfolded position. The first and second catches are positioned with the latch plate therebetween.
