Elevated height wheelchair

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a wheelchair configured to reposition an occupant between a lowered and a raised position. The wheelchair can include a frame, a seat moveable relative to the frame, a drive wheel, and one or more pairs of arm assemblies. The arm assembly includes a wheel configured to move from a first spatial location when the wheel chair is operating on flat, level ground to a second spatial location that is different than the first spatial location. Arm limiters can selectively engage the arm assembly based on at least one of a seat position, position of the arm assembly and surface conditions of ground surface. The arm limiters can limit the range of motion of the arm assembly and sometimes other operational aspects of the chair.

Omnidirectional electric healthcare bedchair

Disclosed is an omni-directional electric medical care bed chair, including mecanum wheels, rollover prevention wheels, a bottom support, motors, a controller, a push rod device, a bed chair device, a cervical traction device, a shoulder joint rehabilitation device and ankle joint rehabilitation devices, wherein the push rod device drives the bed chair device to move, and therefore mutual switching among states of sitting, lying and turning over of the bed chair device can be realized. In conjunction with a bed chair technology enabling lying and turning over, a mecanum wheel technology and medical care rehabilitation equipment, the medical care bed chair has functions of sitting, lying and turning over, also has an omni-directional movement ability, and can assist a patient in body rehabilitation training.

Wheel chair lifting device
10537484 · 2020-01-21 ·

A wheel chair lifting device with a stationary platform, a movable lift assembly, four motorized scissors jacks, a foot stand platform, a battery power supply and a wireless lift controller and receiver. The four scissors jacks each placed on one corner of the stationary platform. The movable lift assembly is attached at each corner to the for scissors jacks. The movable assembly can of be lifted and lowered by the four scissors jacks. The scissors jacks are powered by the battery power supply. The motors of the lift jacks are activated by a wireless hand held controller. The base of the movable lift assembly is level with the stationary platform so that no ramp is required for rolling a wheel chair onto the lift assembly.

Reconfiguration means for a wheelchair
10517781 · 2019-12-31 ·

Means for reconfiguring a wheelchair are disclosed wherein a user or an occupant of the wheelchair is enabled to repeatably alternate the wheelchair between an original load-bearing configuration and a modified load-bearing configuration by engaging and disengaging a ground-contacting adaptive implement operatively connected to a load transitioning mechanism, said load transitioning mechanism adapted for connection to a forward portion of the wheelchair. Embodiments according to the present invention enable an occupant of the wheelchair to alternate the wheelchair, through a cyclic operation sequence, between the original configuration and the modified configuration by toggling of a manipulable switch and subsequent momentary reclining of the wheelchair. The user willfully effectuates a change in the angular disposition of the ground-contacting adaptive implement relative to the wheelchair about a substantially horizontal joint axis wherein in the modified configuration a deployed angular orientation is maintained under load-bearing conditions during travel of the wheelchair in all directions. Embodiments of the present invention enable wheelchair reconfiguration with simplicity of operation while ensuring rigid attachment of a ground-contacting adaptive implement to the wheelchair to confer special functionalities to the wheelchair while preserving comfort and safety for the user while the wheelchair is in the modified load-bearing configuration.

A mechanical type lifting shifter provided below a wheelchair body, including a bottom supporting assembly having a pair of oppositely arranged supporting members and gear rack columns provided on the supporting members; a movable upper supporting assembly having movable supporting members slidably sleeving the gear rack columns; a gear roller assembly having a rotating shaft and a pair of lifting gears provided on the two end portions of the rotating shaft; two ends of the rotating shaft are respectively and fixedly connected to a pair of movable supporting members and support the movable supporting members, and the lifting gears are engaged with the gear rack columns; a pedal transmission assembly mounted on the rotating shaft and in transmission connection with the rotating shaft; and a pedal clutch assembly connected to the pedal transmission assembly to switch clockwise and anti-clockwise motion transmission between the pedal transmission assembly and the rotating shaft.

TRANSPORT APPARATUS

A first transport apparatus includes a deck for supporting a patient thereon and a lift mechanism supporting the deck. The deck is removable from the lift mechanism for use as a second transport apparatus or part of a second transport apparatus. The first transport apparatus further includes an electrically powered device at the first transport apparatus, and a user input device for wireless control of the electrically powered device, which is operable at or near the first transport apparatus and the second transport apparatus.

ELEVATABLE AND PORTABLE WHEELCHAIR
20190380895 · 2019-12-19 ·

A wheelchair includes a lower assembly including a lower frame having wheels rotatably mounted thereto, an upper assembly including an upper frame supporting a seat, a backrest and at least one movable armrest, and a lift mechanism configured to move the upper assembly relative to the lower assembly between a lowered position and a raised position, wherein a user can move sideways out of the seat in the raised position with the movable armrest lowered.

WHEELCHAIR STAND

A wheelchair stand may include a base; a vertical support bar extending upward from the base; an upper bar extending transversely from the vertical support bar and spaced vertically away from the base; a hanger supported by the upper bar and spaced away from the vertical support bar; and a strap supported by the hanger. A method of maintaining a wheelchair may include: a) moving the wheelchair to a position below a hanger; b) positioning a strap below the wheelchair; c) connecting the strap to opposite ends of the hanger; and d) shortening the strap to raise the wheelchair.

Accessible swing

A swinging playground device includes a swing platform. The swinging playground device also includes a skirt coupled to the swinging platform and fills an area below the swinging platform as the swinging platform moves in a swinging motion.

Methods and Apparatus for Increasing the Effectiveness of Wheelchair Training

A device for supporting a wheelchair includes a frame and a support system. The first end of the frame is attached to an axle of the wheelchair. The second end of the frame is attached to a wheel for allowing translation of the device over a surface. The support system is coupled to the frame and may be positioned to catch a back of the wheelchair upon reclining of the wheelchair during a wheelie. The position of the support system with respect to the frame is adjustable in order to catch the wheelchair at varying angles of reclining. As the user of a wheelchair develops skill in performing a wheelie, the position of the support system may be moved further away from the wheelchair.
