Mobility vehicle

A mobility vehicle may comprise a frame, a first pivot arm, a second pivot arm, and a suspension assembly. The first pivot arm may be coupled to the frame and coupled to a drive wheel. The second pivot arm may be coupled to the frame and coupled to a ground engaging caster wheel. The suspension assembly may be coupled to the frame. The suspension assembly may include a first spring assembly and a second spring assembly. The first spring assembly may be disposed about a first spring axis and coupled to the first pivot arm. The second spring assembly may be disposed about a second spring axis and coupled to the second pivot arm. The first spring axis and the second spring axis may be disposed relative to each other at an angle of no greater than about 150° when the mobility vehicle is operating on horizontal ground.

Wheelchair

A wheelchair having a chassis on which the following are arranged, opposite one another: at least one drive unit comprising a drive wheel and an electric drive system, a front wheel positioned on a front swivel arm, and a rear wheel. The drive unit and front swivel arm are arranged so as to pivot relative to the chassis in a vertical plane, and are coupled to one another by a first coupling and a second coupling member.

Mobility device

A powered balancing mobility device that can provide the user the ability to safely navigate expected environments of daily living including the ability to maneuver in confined spaces and to climb curbs, stairs, and other obstacles, and to travel safely and comfortably in vehicles. The mobility device can provide elevated, balanced travel.

Wheelchair convertible to a walker
11285059 · 2022-03-29 · ·

Personal transportation aid that can be converted easily between a wheelchair and a walker. The device has handles that can be pushed forward to switch from wheelchair mode to walker mode. Pushing the handles forward causes the seat bottom of the wheelchair to flip up, opening a space where the user can stand to use the walker; the front wheels of the wheelchair are also pushed forward. Pulling the handles backwards returns the device to its wheelchair configuration, with the seat bottom flipped down and the front wheels moved backwards. Simple mechanical linkages may be used to flip the seat bottom up and down, and to push the front wheels forward and backwards; therefore the device does not require a power source or actuators.

SEAT TILTING SYSTEM FOR A WHEELCHAIR
20220062078 · 2022-03-03 · ·

A wheelchair having: i) a frame, ii) a seat, iii) a backrest, iv) front wheels, v) rear wheels and vi) a handle. The frame has a wheel frame and a seat frame pivotably mounted to the wheel frame via seat frame hinges, wherein the seat mounted to the seat frame. The seat frame is coupled with the wheel frame via a joint linkage system coupled with front rods and rear rods and sets an operation angle between said front rods and said rear rods. Backward rotation of the seat causes the joint linkage system to increase the operation angle between said front rods and rear rods thereby increasing the wheel footprint of the wheelchair. Forward rotation of the seat causes the joint linkage system to decrease the operation angle between said front rods and rear rods thereby decreasing the wheel footprint of the wheelchair.

Adaptive track assembly
11235820 · 2022-02-01 · ·

A multi-terrain transport apparatus, such as a motorized wheelchair, that allows adjustment of the terrain-contacting surface area of a continuous track depending on the terrain encountered by the transport apparatus.

Assistive pushcart device
11147734 · 2021-10-19 ·

An assistive pushcart device for rollerblading includes a set of first wheels and a set of second wheels that are rotationally coupled to a frame proximate to a front and a back of the frame, respectively. A handle that is coupled to and extends transversely from the back of the frame is configured to be grasped in one or two hands of a user to stabilize the user as the user locomotes the frame along a surface. Each of set of brakes is operationally coupled to a respective one of the first wheels and the second wheels. The set of brakes is positioned to selectively slow and stop rotation of at least one of the first wheels and the second wheels. An actuator that is coupled to the handle and operationally coupled to the set of brakes is positioned to selectively actuate the set of brakes.

Elevated height wheelchair

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a wheelchair configured to reposition an occupant between a lowered and a raised position. The wheelchair can include a frame, a seat moveable relative to the frame, a drive wheel, and one or more pairs of arm assemblies. The arm assembly includes a wheel configured to move from a first spatial location when the wheel chair is operating on flat, level ground to a second spatial location that is different than the first spatial location. Arm limiters that can selectively engage the arm assembly dependent on the position of the arm assembly and surface conditions of ground and can limit the range of motion of the arm assembly and sometimes other operational aspects of the chair.

Modular power bases for wheelchairs
11173079 · 2021-11-16 · ·

A modular power base for a wheelchair, the modular power base includes a leg module. The leg module includes an upper leg portion comprising a distal end and a proximal end. The proximal end is configured to be detachably and rotatably coupled to a seat portion of the wheelchair. The leg module also includes a lower leg portion having a first end and a second end, the first end of the lower leg portion being rotatably coupled to the distal end of the upper leg portion. The leg module also includes a first wheel rotatably coupled to the distal end of the upper leg portion and to the first end of the lower leg portion and a second wheel rotatably coupled to the second end of the lower leg portion.

WHEELCHAIR SUSPENSION
