APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR TURNING AND POSITIONING A PATIENT
A system for use with a bed having a frame and a supporting surface includes a sheet having a bottom surface placed above the supporting surface of the bed, a top surface, and a plurality of tether straps connected to and extending from the sheet. Each tether strap is configured for connection to the bed. The bottom surface is at least partially formed of a low friction material, and the top surface is at least partially formed of a high friction material, such that the top surface provides greater slipping resistance than the bottom surface. The tether straps include at least two pairs of tether straps, with one pair connected proximate a top edge of the sheet and another pair connected proximate a bottom edge of the sheet. The sheet may further include a sliding member on the bottom surface to assist in lateral sliding of the sheet.
PATIENT SUPPORT FORMED FROM AN ELASTOMERIC COMPOSITION INCLUDING A POLYMER BLEND OF SEEPS COPOLYMERS
This disclosure provides a person support formed from an elastomeric composition. The elastomeric composition includes a polymer blend with the polymer blend consisting essentially of a first and second SEEPS copolymer. The first and second SEEPS copolymers are present in the polymer blend in an amount of from 75 to 95 percent by weight and 5 to 25 percent by weight, respectively, based on the total weight of the polymer blend. In addition, the sum of the first and second SEEPS copolymers in the polymer blend is 100 percent by weight. The first and second SEEPS copolymers have a weight average molecular weight of weight of at least 200,000 and 125,000 to 175,000, respectively. The disclosure also provides a patient support for supporting a patient with the patient support formed from the elastomeric composition.

The present invention discloses a changeable carrying device for human body based on posture changing which includes a base frame, a moving assembly, a first driving assembly and a carrying assembly for carrying a human body. The base frame has a sliding member capable of moving straight. The moving assembly is pivotally connected with the sliding member. The moving assembly includes a first rod and a crank with an end pivotally connected with the first rod and with an opposite end pivotally connected with the base frame. The first driving assembly drives the moving assembly to rotate relative to the base frame and to move together with the first sliding member.

An adjustable bed includes a fixed frame, an articulating frame supported on the fixed frame, first and second leg assemblies, and first and second actuators. The leg assemblies are configured to raise and lower the fixed frame between a lowered position and a raised position. The actuators are disposed and fully maintained within an interior volume of the fixed frame. The first actuator is fixedly secured at a first end to the head end of the fixed frame and operably coupled to the first leg assembly at a second end. The second actuator is fixedly secured at a first end to the foot end of the fixed frame and operably coupled to the second leg assembly at a second end. The first and second actuators are configured to exert a pulling force to raise the fixed frame and to exert a pushing force to lower the fixed frame.

An adjustable bed includes a fixed frame, an articulating frame supported on the fixed frame, first and second leg assemblies, and first and second actuators. The leg assemblies are configured to raise and lower the fixed frame between a lowered position and a raised position. The actuators are disposed and fully maintained within an interior volume of the fixed frame. The first actuator is fixedly secured at a first end to the head end of the fixed frame and operably coupled to the first leg assembly at a second end. A patient support apparatus comprises a plurality of load cells, a frame supported on the load cells, a mattress, a vibration sensor, and a control system. The mattress includes a plurality of inflatable zones positioned on the frame, the mattress and frame cooperating to direct any patient load through the mattress and frame to the load cells. The control system includes a controller operable to receive a separate signal from each of the plurality of load cells and the vibration sensor and process the signals to identify motion of the patient.

A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, operating table, recliner, or the like, includes a litter frame, a support deck supported on the litter frame and adapted to support a mattress thereon, a touchscreen and a controller configured for carrying out various functions and to display various screens on the touchscreen, including screens for controlling a mattress therapy function or for controlling a non-mattress function of the patient support apparatus. A notification regarding the status of a mattress therapy function can be displayed on various screens. Status indications can be provided as a banner across a portion of the touchscreen.
