Nursing bed
This nursing bed has a fixed member forming a fixed bed surface of a bed portion on which a care receiver lies, a movable member which can be moved relative to the fixed member and forms a movable bed surface of the bed portion, and a movable member driving unit for driving the movable member. The fixed member has a plurality of slender parts each extending in the lateral direction or the longitudinal direction. The movable member has a mobile body which can be protruded upward relative to the fixed bed surface and also moved in at least one of the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction via an interval between the plurality of slender parts by the movable member driving unit. The posture of the care receiver lying on the bed can be changed into his/her optimal position without difficulty.
LIFTING SYSTEM WITH LIFTING DEVICE AND CANTILEVERED SUPPORT PLATFORM
A lifting system for lifting a subject (12) supported in a particular position is described. The lifting system has a platform (10) for supporting the subject (12) on an elongate platform surface (101). The platform surface (101) is selectively configurable in a flexible state allowing the elongate platform (10) to fold along a longitudinal line for positioning beneath the subject (12), and a rigid state to support the subject (12) in the desired position. The platform also has one or more attachment structures (16) and, the lifting system has a lifting device (26) for detachably engaging (18) the one or more attachment structures (16) to elevate and lower the platform (10) cantilevered from the lifting device (26).
System and method for patient turning and repositioning with simultaneous off-loading of the body in the prone position
The present invention relates to a system and method for sacral and trochanteric support and off-loading. The system provides a ultra low pressure plenum and a positioner. The patient body size and size and corresponding surface area of the positioner control the amount of gas which is displaced evenly against the walls of the ultra low pressure plenum to allow the combination of the ultra low pressure plenum and the positioner to slightly lift a patient from a bed surface, thereby offloading the sacrum and trochanter. The positioner can be an ultra low pressure bladder.
Handbarrow for carrying patients
A retractable structure of a suspension rack of a handbarrow for carrying patients is disclosed herein. It mainly comprises a pedestal, two supporting rods disposed at one end of the pedestal for opening and closing, a main rod having a first end disposed at the other end of the pedestal and a second end, and a retractable structure of a suspension rack connected to the second end of the main rod and having a fixed tube, an active tube, a power source and a control assembly. The power source is disposed within the fixed tube and the active tube and driven to control extension and shrinkage of the active tube by the control assembly activated by a press button of the active tube.
Track and lift rehabilitation systems and related methods
A system for physical rehabilitation is disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of motors configured to be coupled to a ceiling, and a plurality of cable portions. Each cable portion is connected at a first end to a motor, among the plurality of motors, and connected at a second end to a connector element for attaching to a patient. The system also comprises a controller in operative communication with the plurality of motors to move the connector element in relation to a staircase. The controller is configured to adjust one or both of position and speed of the connector element based on tracked kinematics of the patient as the patient moves along the staircase.
ANTI-BEDSORE BED
An anti-bedsore bed may comprise a bed unit, a first bed body, and a second bed body. The bed unit has a first mattress, and a bottom portion is coupled on a bottom surface thereof. Moreover, the bottom portion comprises a plurality of first supporting units at positions corresponding to a user's upper back, middle portion of back and lower back, and each of the first supporting units has a first sliding block moveably mounted on the bottom portion. Each of the first sliding blocks has a first supporting rod, and an abutting unit is pivotally connected to an upper end of the first supporting rod. Each of first power units secured on a bottom surface of the first sliding block is engaged with the first supporting rod while each of second power units secured on the bottom portion is engaged with the first sliding block.
Track and Lift Rehabilitation Systems and Related Methods
A system for physical rehabilitation is disclosed. The system may comprise a plurality of motors configured to be coupled to a ceiling; a plurality of cable portions, wherein each cable portion is connected at a first end to a motor and connected at a second end to a connector element; and a controller in operative communication with the plurality of motors to move the connector element in relation to a staircase.
PORTABLE BATHING SEAT FOR BATHTUB AND SHOWER
A portable bathing seat is described. The portable bathing seat includes a platform having a top surface and a bottom surface, a first long side, a second long side, a first short side and a second short side. The platform is secured above a bathing surface by at least two legs that each have one or more feet that engage the bathing surface or an adjacent surface. The platform also includes a transfer area proximal the first short side and the transfer area is advantageously at a wheelchair transfer height. The portable bathing seat also includes a transfer pommel secured to the platform proximal the first short side and a handle secured to the platform proximal the second short side. The portable bathing seat also includes a ballast reservoir positioned below the platform and configured to hold a ballast for providing stability to the portable bathing seat.
MOBILITY SCOOTER WITH EASY ACCESS
The invention relates to a mobility scooter for individual mobility of a person, comprising a chassis, two front wheels aside the chassis and at least one rear wheel, a seat with a seat base and armrests for the person, a footrest on the chassis that extends between the seat and the front wheels, and an electronic controller assembly, wherein the mobility scooter has a driving mode and a boarding mode, wherein in the driving mode the seat base and the armrests are in the driving position, and wherein in the boarding mode the seat base or at least one of the armrests is in the boarding position, wherein the electronic controller is configured to steer the front wheels in the boarding mode into the sideward steering direction that is opposite to the side to which the seat base or the armrest is swung in the boarding position.
