A tool designed for fixing fibers, such as natural hair, to a substrate, such as a wig cap, for making hand-tied wigs, having a shaft with two ends. A slot extends from one of the shaft ends with an open end to receive fibers. An opening extends transversely to the shaft and intersects with the slot for holding fibers as they are passed through the openings of the wig cap.

Embodiments of the invention are directed to a toy knitting device and a knitting kit including the toy knitting device and a breakaway clasp. The knitting device comprises a knitting body having an interior chamber in which a needle holder is rotatably coupled to the knitting device. The needle holder comprises a plurality of needles configured to move up and down the side of the needle holder as the needle holder rotates to grasp a knitting strand being fed into the interior chamber of the knitting body. The needle holder rotates by a plurality of engaged gears coupled to either an automated motor for automated rotation or a hand knob or crank for manual rotation. The needle holder comprises a center aperture through which the knitted product that is configured to receive an embellishment to be embedded within a hollow interior of the knitted product is inserted.

Embodiments of the invention are directed to a toy knitting device and a knitting kit including the toy knitting device and a breakaway clasp. The knitting device comprises a knitting body having an interior chamber in which a needle holder is rotatably coupled to the knitting device. The needle holder comprises a plurality of needles configured to move up and down the side of the needle holder as the needle holder rotates to grasp a knitting strand being fed into the interior chamber of the knitting body. The needle holder rotates by a plurality of engaged gears coupled to either an automated motor for automated rotation or a hand knob or crank for manual rotation. The needle holder comprises a center aperture through which the knitted product that is configured to receive an embellishment to be embedded within a hollow interior of the knitted product is inserted.

A needle member for use as a knitting needle and methods of making the same are disclosed. An example needle member may be formed of a metallic material and include a solid tip end and a connecting end opposite the tip end. The connecting end may have a threaded portion configured to be selectively secured to a flexible cable by rotating the needle member relative to the cable, and a solid body extending longitudinally from the solid tip end to the connecting end which defines a needle grip aperture. The needle grip aperture may be fixed within the solid body relative to the threaded portion of the connecting end. An interchangeable knitting needle set may be provided, which includes a plurality of needle members and different length cables for selectively connecting two of the needle members to create different knitting needles having different lengths or needle diameters.

A needle member for use as a knitting needle and methods of making the same are disclosed. An example needle member may be formed of a metallic material and include a solid tip end and a connecting end opposite the tip end. The connecting end may have a threaded portion configured to be selectively secured to a flexible cable by rotating the needle member relative to the cable, and a solid body extending longitudinally from the solid tip end to the connecting end which defines a needle grip aperture. The invention relates to a knitting needle, in particular for producing knitwear with cable patterns, having at least one rigid needle tip and a shank on which the knitwear can be arranged at least regionally. The invention now proposes that the shank consist at least regionally of a material that is reversibly plastically deformable by bending in very different directions, wherein the transition between the shank and needle tip is flush and smooth. Furthermore, the invention proposes a method for producing such a knitting needle.
