The present invention relates to a seamless foot-covering garment made of knitted courses, a method for manufacturing thereof as well as a respective circular machine for hosiery and knitwear. The foot-covering garment made of knitted courses, comprises a heel portion, a toe portion, a middle portion located between the heel portion and the toe portion and an opening between said heel portion, said middle portion and said toe portion for the insertion of an user's foot. The toe portion and the heel portion are aligned along a longitudinal direction. At said opening the middle portion ends with a right side edge and a left side edge. The garment is seamlessly knitted as a whole. At least one or both the right and left side edges comprise at least one elastic portion made up by a plurality of stretch stitches located at an end of knitted courses. The stretch stitches are composed of at least one main thread of the foot-covering garment knitted with at least one elastic thread. The elastic thread extends with no interruption in said at least one elastic portion, in that it is not cut at each knitted course of said at least one elastic portion.

Method of making bespoke knitted compression garment

A method of making a bespoke knitted compression garment. The method comprises providing a representation of a body part on which the compression garment is to be worn (S102), the representation comprising a plurality of datapoints. A desired pressure configuration to be applied by the compression garment on the body part is determined (S104). Representation courses around the representation are defined (S106). Sets of datapoints for each representation course are selected (S107). A curve for each set of datapoints and a circumference value of each curve is calculated (S108, S109). A pressure to be applied by each course is determined (S111) and a material for knitting, and a number of needles for each representation course, is determined based on the course pressure of the associated material course, a strain characteristic of the material, and the circumference value of the associated curve (S112). A garment is knitted according to the number of needles and the material (S113, S114).

The present disclosure relates to a knitting method and device based on a knitting pattern in which front, left-sleeve, right-sleeve and rear-shoulder pieces are integrally connected. The method includes: collecting a knitting pattern graphic or instruction; receiving pattern information sent by a data collection module to determine the knitting type, and defining the knitting start position, the knitting direction, the knitting point position and the stitching path of different knitting types; wherein, a control module controls a driving module such that a knitting needle knits in a V-shaped path, a horizontal path or a vertical path; and when the knitting needle moves to a panel border position or a reversing position, a state monitoring module sends information to the control module, and the driving module adjusts the knitting action until the knitting operation on a target knitting panel is completed.

Disclosed herein are systems and methods that allow an image of a fabric sample to be captured. The image may be analyzed to extract features, sometimes referred to as a stitch parameter, of the fabric's construction, such the use of one or more stitch types. Using the stitch parameters, a build specification can be selected from a plurality of build specification. Each of the plurality of build specifications may be associated with at least one of a plurality of known fabric constructions. The build specification may be exported and then used to construct a fabric similar to the fabric sample captured in the received image.

One-piece knitted article for lower portion of human body and methods for knitting same

A method for generating a knitted article having a first, second and third opening, the knitted article adapted to cover at least a groin, a first thigh portion and a second thigh portion of a human body. The method includes using flatbed knitting machine to knit a first portion of the knitted article for covering the first thigh portion, then to knit a second portion of the knitted article for covering the groin and then to knit a third portion of the knitted article for covering the second thigh portion. The first, second and third portions of the knitted article form a one-piece, non-planar knitted article. A pair of edges of the knitted article are affixed to form a first seam, and another pair of edges are affixed to form a second seam facing away from the first seam.
