Aerodynamic rail covers
An aerodynamic rail cover for an operating room with laminar airflow is provided. The rail cover comprises a rail cover component configured to be movably attached to a support rail of a ceiling mounted support arrangement of a medical imaging system. The rail cover component comprises a base element and an air guiding surface element connected to the base element. The base element is configured to be attached to a portion of the support rail of the ceiling mounted support arrangement. The air guiding surface element forms an air guide to be mounted at least temporarily to cover a portion of the support rail of the ceiling mounted support arrangement. The air guiding surface element comprises two surface parts that extend from starting edges on opposite sides of the base element to a common trailing edge.
MEDICAL IMAGING WITH INTEGRATED AIR GUIDANCE
The present invention relates to a medical X-ray imaging arrangement and to a medical imaging system. In order to provide an improved air-supply for operating areas, a medical X-ray imaging arrangement (10) is provided that comprises an X-ray image acquisition device (12), a movable carriage (16), and an air-supply (30) for an operating zone. The carriage is movably mountable to a ceiling of an operating room. The X-ray image acquisition device comprises an X-ray source, and the X-ray image acquisition device is movably mounted to the movable carriage for acquiring image information of an object. Further, the air-supply comprises a plurality of air outlets (32) provided on a bottom side (34) of the carriage arranged to provide treated air from an air-feed (36) as a primary laminar downflow defining a carriage laminar flow zone (38) for the operating zone.
Integrated operating room lighting and patient warming system—design and components
A patient warming system for stabilizing and/or heating and cooling a patient includes a plurality of solid-surface sections arranged for attachment to a surgical table and a warming pad layer comprising a plurality of warming pads configured for removable connection to the plurality of solid-surface sections. At least one of the plurality of solid-surface sections includes a power connector for connection to an external power source. Each warming pad of the plurality of warming pads includes a foam insulation layer, a distributed heating element layer having a warming-pad power connection for connection to the power connector, an isothermal layer, and a flexible waterproof layer. Power supplied to the warming-pad power connection of the distributed heating element layer of the respective warming pad can be used to provide a user-selected uniform temperature over the surface of the flexible waterproof layer in order to prevent hot spots.
RELOCATION MODULES AND METHODS FOR SURGICAL FIELD
Examples of a module for housing unrelated electronic and electromechanical equipment for use during surgery. The module can include a lower section and a tower-like upper section. The lower section can house unrelated electronic and electromechanical equipment. The tower-like upper section can be located on top of the lower section. A water-resistant cowling can enclose at least a portion of the lower section and the tower-like upper section. A cartridge containing one or more ultraviolet-C producing lights can be protectively housed within the tower-like upper section. The cartridge containing one or more ultraviolet-C producing lights can be configured to emerge upward from a top of the tower-like upper section to substantially seat itself on the top of the tower-like upper section when activated allowing the ultraviolet-C light to disinfect the patient and staff-contacting upper surfaces of the equipment in the operating room.
A DYNAMIC AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM IN A CLEAN ROOM AND A METHOD FOR PROVIDING DYNAMIC AIR FLOW
A dynamic air supply system for controlling ventilation in a clean room, wherein the clean room comprises a clean area subject to contamination, comprising a radiant panel arranged within a ceiling above the clean area, a first air supply diffuser and a second air supply diffuser arranged within the ceiling, a controller coupled with the air supply diffusers for controlling the air supply. The first air supply diffuser and the second air supply diffuser are arranged on opposite sides of the radiant panel. The first air supply diffuser and the second air supply diffuser are arranged to diffuse air flows along the radiant panel and towards clean area. The controller is configured to change the air supply diffusers between nursing mode and normal mode, wherein the supply air volume in normal mode is 10%-65% of the supply air volume in nursing mode.
Relocation module and methods for surgical equipment
Modules for housing electronic and electromechanical medical equipment including a system to measure and record administration of one or more IV medications or fluids for IV administration.
MODULAR PATIENT LIFT SYSTEM
A modular patient lift system includes a ceiling grid, a plurality of rails, a gantry configured to traverse the ceiling grid via the plurality of rails, and a patient lift coupled to the gantry and configured to traverse the ceiling grid with the gantry. The modular patient lift system further includes one or more sensors provided on at least one of the plurality of rails, the gantry, and the patient lift, the one or more sensors configured to collect at least one of environmental data and position data.
AIRBORNE PATHOGEN EXTRACTION SYSTEM
An airborne pathogen extraction system that provides for continuous airborne pathogen particle extraction from a specifically targeted area in a room or a specifically targeted area proximate to a user. The pathogenic particles are filtered and/or disinfected before the air is returned proximate to the originating location, or are directed an area away from the user(s). The airborne pathogen extraction systems and methods lower the chances of contagion or infection from airborne pathogens, such as viruses.
Relocation module and methods for surgical equipment
Modules for housing electronic and electromechanical medical equipment including a system to measure and record administration of one or more IV medications or fluids for IV administration.
Medical module including automated dose-response record system
An automated dose-response record system including a module for housing waste-heat producing electronic and electromechanical medical equipment including at least one physiologic monitor, and including a system to measure, temporally correlate and record dose and response events.
