SEWING MACHINE
In a sewing machine, an elevating unit is configured to be integrally raised and lowered with a threading lever of a threading apparatus. Furthermore, an operating lever is coupled to a lever interlocking mechanism that interlocks with the rotational operation of the operating lever. Upon pressing threading lever downward from an initial position when operating lever is at an operating position, an elevating unit engages with lever interlocking mechanism. Operating force applied to threading lever is transmitted to operating lever via lever interlocking mechanism, thereby turning operating lever from operating position to non-operating position. Accordingly, even when a presser is at a raised position, by pressing threading lever downward, operating lever is turnable from operating position to non-operating position, thereby allowing presser to return to pressing position.

Needle Threading Aid
A needle threading aid has a graspable body with a threading ledge on its upper surface, with a threading aperture formed through the threading ledge, a ridge is formed next to the threading aperture, the ridge has a collapsible wire loop over the threading aperture, the wire loop has a generally angular return bend, the wire loop is passable through the eye of a needle.

A needle threading aid has a graspable body with a threading ledge on its upper surface, with a threading aperture formed through the threading ledge, a ridge is formed next to the threading aperture, the ridge has a collapsible wire loop over the threading aperture, the wire loop has a generally angular return bend, the wire loop is passable through the eye of a needle.
THREADING DEVICE AND FISHING TOOL
A threading device and fishing tool for threading line and the like into and through a desired opening includes a needle and a needle holder. The needle includes an interconnection area for connection with a line. The needle is held in place in a holder by either permanent magnets or electromagnetic means. In use, the tip of the needle is first inserted in or through the desired area while the needle remains connected to the needle holder in the needle base area. The needle tip returns to the needle holder while next the needle base becomes separated from the needle base holder area allowing the needle and line to be inserted through an opening or into material. The threading device may be used independently or be part of a fishing tool which may include a knot tying portion, line clippers, line cutter, and fishhook threading assistance region.
Overlock sewing machine
With a overlock sewing machine, when a switching mechanism is switched to a threading-enabled state, and a looper cover is closed, the looper cover is slid toward one side in the hinge shaft axial direction so as to operate a detection lever. In the non-operating state, the detection lever is set to an initial position where it does not press an operation protrusion of a switch. When a side cover is closed, and the detection lever is operated, the operation lever is set to an operation-enabled position where it presses the operation protrusion. When the operation lever is operated, and the side cover is opened, the detection lever is set by passing through the operation-enabled to the operation-disabled position where it does not press the operation protrusion.
Overlock sewing machine
With a overlock sewing machine, when a switching mechanism is switched to a threading-enabled state, and a looper cover is closed, the looper cover is slid toward one side in the hinge shaft axial direction so as to operate a detection lever. In the non-operating state, the detection lever is set to an initial position where it does not press an operation protrusion of a switch. When a side cover is closed, and the detection lever is operated, the operation lever is set to an operation-enabled position where it presses the operation protrusion. When the operation lever is operated, and the side cover is opened, the detection lever is set by passing through the operation-enabled to the operation-disabled position where it does not press the operation protrusion.
Thread storage and dispensing sewing assembly
There is provided a sewing assembly that comprises a plurality of pins for receiving spools of thread, a plurality of thread cutters and retainers adjacent an extremity of the container, a plurality of slots located therebetween, and a needle threader. Thread unwound from a thread spool and received within a respective slot is cut by pressing the unwound thread at a desired length within a respective thread cutter so as to cut the unwound thread and simultaneously retain uncut thread within a respective thread retainer.

The processes include switching the operation of the threading mechanism by prohibiting the operation of the threading mechanism in a case where the setting that prohibits the operation of the threading mechanism is made, and permitting the operation of the threading mechanism in a case where the setting that does not prohibit the operation of the threading mechanism is made.
