Turned edge fabric circle appliques
Turned edge fabric appliqus are produced using a first template whose perimeter corresponds to a desired shape of a finished appliqu of certain size, and a second template having a corresponding opening so that the perimeter of the first template fits in the opening with a determined gap between the templates. The perimeter of the second template corresponds to an appliqu of the desired shape but a size larger than said certain size, and the second template fits in a corresponding opening in a third template to obtain the appliqu of larger size. A fabric piece is placed by the first template into the opening in the second template, and an exposed edge of the piece projects through the gap above the first template to define a seam allowance which is ironed atop the first template. The template is then withdrawn from the opening and from the ironed seam allowance.

Sewing machine
A sewing machine of the present embodiment comprises a movement amount detector which detects a movement amount of fabric, a sewing machine motor serving as a rotary drive source of an upper shaft which applies vertical movement to a needle bar, a shaft angle detector which detects a shaft angle of an output shaft of the upper shaft or the sewing machine motor, and a controller which controls the sewing machine motor based on the detection of the movement amount detector and performs controls of maintaining a constant stitch length. The controller performs controls of maintaining the constant stitch length, by a movement amount of the fabric detected by the movement amount detector in a shaft angle section where a sewing needle is not stuck into a cloth, based on the detection by the shaft angle detector.

BAPTIST FAN LONGARM QUILTING GUIDE
A hopping foot guide device for use with a longarm quilting machine to guide the longarm machine's hopping foot sewing needle mechanism across material in an intricate pattern without the need to reset at every turn or otherwise move as the stitching progresses, and capable of accurate repetition.
