The invention relates to a patient support apparatus, and more particularly to an ICU bed. The invention also relates to a frame assembly and to a foot extension for such patient apparatus. The invention further relates to a mattress for a patient support apparatus, such as a therapeutic mattress for an ICU bed.
POWERED ROLL-IN COTS
According to one embodiment, a roll-in cot may include a support frame, a pair of back legs, a pair of front legs, and a cot actuation system. The pair of back legs and the pair of front legs can be slidingly coupled to the support frame. Each of the pair of front legs can include a front wheel and an intermediate load wheel. The intermediate load wheel is offset from the front wheel by a load wheel distance. A front actuator can raise the pair of front legs such that the front wheel and the intermediate load wheel of each of the pair of front legs are aligned along a loading level. The intermediate load wheel of each of the pair of front legs can be offset from the pair of back legs by a loading span. The load wheel distance can be greater than the loading span.
Anterior pelvic support device for a surgery patient
The improved positioning device, for use in hip, pelvis or bariatric surgery, securely and safely supports a morbidly obese patient lying in the lateral decubitus position at one side of an operating table so the surgeon may stand close to the anterior side of the patient. The support device includes a double-ended bracket having a pair of oppositely positioned padded end portions secured to an angular bracket post adapted to securely mount to an operating table via a question mark-shaped bracket. The angular bracket arm vertically adjusts to support the patient on one side, with the padded end portions applied to bony prominences such as the symphysis pubis and the lower side anterior superior iliac spine. The support device is used in combination with a posterior pelvic support plate, and a pair of anterior-posterior chest support plates to retain the patient in a secure and stable manner during surgery.
BED WITH FRAME ASSEMBLY
A bed that converts into a chair is provided. The bed includes a base frame assembly, an intermediate frame assembly and a patient support deck. The patient support deck includes a head deck section, an intermediate deck section and a foot deck section.
Apparatus and method for positioning a patient
A patient positioning system includes an inflatable patient support device having a width, and a positioning apparatus. The positioning apparatus including a wedge-shaped body, the wedge-shaped body configured to be placed under the inflatable patient support device to support a patient in a desired position, and a tail comprising an elongated piece of material extending from a front end of the wedge-shaped body, wherein a length of the tail is greater than the width of the inflatable patient support device.
Belt driven width expansion of a bed
A bed comprises a fixed width deck section, a wing movably coupled to the fixed width section, and a mechanism for extending and retracting the wing.
Surgical table top accessory with sacral offloading attachment
An improved surgical table top accessory with a sacral offloading attachment.
PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS HAVING POWERED WIDTH EXTENDERS
A bed comprises a fixed width deck section, a wing movably coupled to the fixed width section, and a mechanism for extending and retracting the wing.
PLATFORM-BASED MOBILITY ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
A platform-based mobility assistance system is disclosed. The system includes a platform configured to support multiple seating surfaces, such as a chair and a commode. A movement mechanism, such as rollers and a ball screw actuator, is coupled to the platform to facilitate lateral movement. A support structure, such as a handrail, is fixed to the platform to provide stability to a user during transition between seating surfaces. The system allows a user to transition between seating surfaces by standing with support from the handrail while the platform moves laterally, repositioning the seating surfaces behind the user. This enables users with limited mobility to move between a chair and a commode with minimal physical exertion and without the need to turn, reducing the risk of injury and promoting independence.
Support apparatus for bariatric person
A support apparatus for a person includes a main cushion having a bottom surface, a top surface to form a support surface for a person supported on the main cushion, and a length having a perimeter that has longitudinal and lateral sides extending around the perimeter. In addition, the support apparatus has at least one sleeve located along one of the sides of the man cushion. The sleeve is configured between a stowed state, where the sleeve is closely adjacent to the one side, and a deployed state, where the sleeve forms an extension of the top surface of the main cushion to thereby increase the width or the length of the support surface.
