Washer appliance article movement mechanism
A washing appliance having an article movement mechanism including an impeller and agitator post. An impeller is positioned in the wash drum and is rotational about a vertical axis and is configured for imparting motion to the articles during washing. An agitator post is positioned adjacent to the impeller and is also rotational about the vertical axis. The agitator post includes a plurality of vane sets spaced apart along the vertical axis with each vane set including at least one helical vane.
Removable filtration apparatus for laundry treating appliances
A filtration system for a laundry treating machine is provided. A filtration agitator extends upwards from an impeller base and defines a generally hollow cylindrical interior, the filtration agitator having one or more water inlets along its perimeter to permit passage of water from a treating chamber into the interior and one or more water outlets along its perimeter to permit passage of the water out of the interior. A removable cylindrical brush assembly is provided, that, when installed to the filtration agitator, extends along the vertical length of the agitator and defines a sequence of filtration elements through which a water flow passes from the water inlets to the water outlets. The water flow is configured to pass over the sequence of filtration elements in a predefined order to remove particulates from the water flow during a wash cycle.
WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE HAVING A REMOVABLE AGITATOR
A washing machine appliance may include a tub, a basket, an impeller base, and an extended post. The impeller base may include one or impeller fins and a mounting face. The mounting face may include a threaded bracket defining a mounting thread extending about a rotation axis. The mounting face may define a vertical slot radially inward from the mounting thread.. The extended post may be removably attached to the impeller base to rotate therewith. The extended post may include a base body, an auger fin, and a mating face. The base body may extend between a bottom end and a top end. The auger fin may extend radially from the base body. The mating face may be disposed on the bottom end. The mating face may define a mating thread matched to the mounting thread to rotatably enmesh therewith.
SUSPENSION MOUNT FOR A TOP LOAD WASHING MACHINE
A suspension mount assembly for a laundry appliance with a wash unit tub disposed inside an appliance housing and a drum that is rotatably supported within the wash unit tub. A laundry compartment is provided inside the drum and the drum is rotatable about a substantially vertical axis. The wash unit tub is hung from and supported by a plurality of suspension rods. A plurality of upper suspension mount assemblies pivotally couple the suspension rods to an upper frame of the laundry appliance and a plurality of lower suspension mount assemblies couple the suspension rods to the wash unit tub. Each of the upper and lower suspension mount assemblies includes a resilient bushing that permits relative movement between the suspension rods, the upper frame, and the wash unit tub while reducing / dampening the vibrations the suspension rods transmit from the wash unit tub to the upper frame.
