20170306547 · 2017-10-26 · ·

A door lock comprises an electromagnet (410), a latch shaft (320), a crank device (430) and the like. The crank device (430) is connected with the latch shaft (320) and driven by the electromagnet (410) to transform the linear motion of the electromagnet (410) into the rotary motion of the latch shaft (320). When the electromagnet (410) pushes or pulls the crank device (430), a latch head (202) rotates around an axis so that it can move to a locked position or an unlocked position. The door lock (200) of the present invention can transform the linear motion of the electromagnet (410) into the rotary motion of the latch head (202), so that the latch head (202) can be conveniently installed on the lateral surface rather than at an end of the door lock (200). The door lock (200) can be advantageously installed in the middle gap of a front panel (102) along an edge of a control panel of the washing machine (100) to lock the upper cover (101) from the middle part.

WASHING MACHINE AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

In accordance with one aspect of the present disclosure, a washing machine includes a rotating tub configured to accommodate laundry, a water supply pipe configured to spray water over a surface of the laundry. The washing machine also includes a controller configured to execute a water supply cycle in which an operation of each of the rotating tub and the water supply pipe is controlled and water is supplied to the rotating tub. The washing machine further includes a wash cycle in which the laundry is washed and the controller executes a first cycle in which the rotating tub is rotated faster than a rotational speed in the wash cycle so as to discharge air contained inside the laundry before the wash cycle is terminated.

Washing machine

Provided is a washing machine having an improved structure for efficiently controlling a distribution of washing water to improve washing performance. The washing machine includes a tub, a rotary tub rotatably provided inside of the tub, a tub cover coupled to the tub to prevent washing water from overflowing the tub, and a plurality of guide units formed on a bottom surface of the tub cover to guide the washing water into the inside of the rotary tub. The plurality of guide units includes a first guide having an outer end spaced from an edge of the tub cover in an inward direction of the tub cover, a second guide having an outer end spaced from the edge of the tub cover in the inward direction of the tub cover, and disposed to be spaced apart from the first guide in a circumferential direction of the tub cover, and a third guide connecting the outer end of the first guide and the outer end of the second guide.

20170241066 · 2017-08-24 ·

Embodiments of the invention relate to the field of laundry appliances. In an embodiment, a laundry appliance system includes a laundry appliance such as a washing machine that includes an opening for receiving and removing clothes and a door that covers the opening during a washing cycle. The washer is equipped with a receiver comprising a computer, an RF reader, and an antenna positioned near the opening. The antenna, for example, may be positioned on or within the door. The antenna may also be a circular pass through antenna tailored to encircle the opening in a way that permits the door to be closed. RFID tags are provided for affixing to items not intended to be laundered (i.e., run through a washing cycle of washing machine or a drying cycle of a dryer appliance). Such items may include wallets, passports, watches, keys, phones, and other electronic devices or important documents that could be damages or destroyed if passed through a washing cycle. When the RF reader detects an RFID tag that has been affixed to an item not intended to be laundered, the receiver alerts the appliance operator by sound, visual information, or other information that an unintended item has been placed in the laundry appliance.
