Powered managed therapeutic support surface system for the treatment of pressure injuries
A pressure injuries therapeutic support surface is illustrated. The surface comprises an integrated system designed for a concurrent physical and psychoneuroimmunological approach over a user, wherein the system comprises one or a plurality of independent fluid-filled main chambers, made of waterproof, flexible, extendable, and elastic material and at least two accessory chambers connected to each main chamber with at least with two free-flow conduits. The system is managed through a powered mechatronic array with its own hardware and software based on microcontrollers for the simultaneous operation of specific multidisciplinary devices.
Technologies for efficiently tracking the location of a patient bed
A patient bed may include a tag reader that may be connected to antennas on opposite sides of the patient bed. The patient bed may also include circuitry configured to produce, with the tag reader and the antennas, an interrogation signal from the opposite sides of the patient bed, to cause a location tag that may be mounted to a doorway of a room to produce a response signal. The circuitry may also be configured to receive, with the tag reader and with one of the antennas, the response signal from the location tag. Additionally, the circuitry may be configured to determine, as a function of room data in the response signal, a present location of the patient bed.
Crib bedding with temperature gauge
Bedding for a crib mattress includes a plurality of temperature sensitive sensors disposed therein and an on-board power source. The sensors are configured to be in wireless communication with a monitoring device. A visual indicator is disposed upon the bedding and in electrical communication with the power source. The visual indicator is activated when a pre-set temperature is sensed by any one of the sensors.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND TERMINAL DEVICE
An information processing device includes a control unit that determines a travel path of a wheelchair that crosses a road. The control unit determines the travel path of the wheelchair based on information on undulations of a road surface of the road.
LIGHTED OPERATING TABLE SYSTEM, OPERATING TABLE AND REMOTE CONTROL
An operating table is proposed that may form a system with a remote control. The operating table has a column and table top comprising at least three elements, at least two of which are movable. Interface joints (40.sub.1-40.sub.3) are provided between adjacent elements and are controlled to move by a controller (100). A light emitting arrangement (42) is arranged at each interface joint and is adapted to display light in a pattern having a characteristic that is visibly unique to the associated interface joint such that the interface joints are visually distinguishable from one another. The remote control (50) has touch controls (60.sub.1-60.sub.3) for communicating signals for controlling movement of the interface joints (40.sub.1-40.sub.3). Each touch control is associated with one interface joint and is provided with a visible pattern having a characteristic that is substantially the same as that displayed at the associated interface joint.
MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIR WITH ADJUSTMENT AND COMPACTION SYSTEM AND ATTACHABLE OFF-ROAD KIT WITH ASSEMBLY SYSTEM
A motorized wheelchair controlled by electronic control, equipped with a structure adapted to receive a series of quick adjustments and an off-road kit to allow its locomotion through differentiated, rough and inhospitable terrains. Said wheelchair is formed by a tubular metallic structure composed of a seat structure, backrest structure, armrest and lower support structure equipped with a front wheel and rear wheel. The off-road kit consists of a pair of rear wheels with off-road or mixed tires equipped with their own rotating motor, and a pair of front wheels with off-road or mixed tires, being such wheels engaged and fixed to the chair, easily and quickly replacing the original ones.
Systems and methods for medical stapling
Certain aspects relate to systems and techniques for articulating medical instruments. In one aspect, the instrument includes a wrist having at least two degrees of freedom of movement, and an end effector coupled to the wrist. The end effector can include an upper jaw, a lower jaw, and a firing mechanism configured to form staples in tissue. Actuation of the firing mechanism can be decoupled from the movement of the wrist in the at least two degrees of freedom.
MULTI-FUNCTION FRAME POSITIONING DEVICE
A frame positioning device comprises a base assembly, an elevation and rotation assembly coupled to the base assembly, and a table assembly coupled to the elevation and rotation assembly. The table assembly comprises a table support and pivot sub-assembly, a first table section subassembly, and a second table section subassembly. The table support and pivot subassembly is coupled to the first table section subassembly via a first pivot point. The table support and pivot subassembly is coupled to the second table section subassembly via a second pivot point.
DENTAL CHAIR
A dental chair is adapted to be used in cooperation with a dental scanning instrument. The dental chair includes a chair unit, an adjustable support arm, and a display unit. The adjustable support arm has a first end that is connected to the chair unit, and a second end that is opposite to the first end. The adjustable support arm is adjustable in a segment-by-segment manner to move the second end relative to the first end. The display unit is connected to the second end of the adjustable support arm and is adapted to be in signal communication with the dental scanning instrument for displaying an image generated by the dental scanning instrument.
AUTOMATED AIR MATTRESS BED SYSTEM
A mattress assembly includes: multiple gas-filled chambers each having a top surface, the top surfaces of the chambers collectively composing a top surface of the mattress assembly; multiple composite sensors each associated with a corresponding chamber. Each composite sensor includes a pressure sensor to measure a pressure at a wall of the corresponding chamber and a temperature sensor to measure a temperature of the corresponding chamber. The assembly includes chamber regulators each in communication with a corresponding chamber, each regulator configured to pump gas at a first, higher temperature and gas at a second temperature to the corresponding chamber. The assembly includes a controller in communication with the composite sensors and chamber regulators, programmed to: receive, from composite sensor(s), state data including pressure and temperature information for the chamber corresponding to the composite sensor; determine, based upon the received state data, information about a patient's position relative to the corresponding chamber; and based on the patient's position, control the chamber regulator for the chamber to modify a pressure and/or a temperature of the chamber.
