Modular linking system, wheelchair kit and wheelchair
A modular linking system provides a positioning and supporting structure for mounting various components, particularly on a wheelchair structure. A wheelchair kit includes such a modular linking system and further wheelchair includes at least one modular linking system or at least one wheelchair kit.
Positionable projections for a patient support apparatus
A patient support apparatus includes a support frame. A projection housing may be rotatably coupled with the support frame. The projection housing may include a body defining an aperture. A light source is configured to emit a beam of light. A projector may be configured to direct the beam of light through the aperture in the body and onto a surface.
MEDICAL DEVICES AND METHODS FOR MAKING MEDICAL DEVICES FOR WARMING A PATIENT
A medical device for warming a patient. The medical device includes bed configured to support the patient thereon and a heater configured to produce heat for the patient when supported on the bed. A temperature sensor is configured to detect an ambient air temperature apart from the bed. A controller is provided in communication with the temperature sensor, where the controller produces a signal based on the ambient air temperature from the temperature sensor.
CONFIGURABLE POWER WHEELCHAIR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
In one embodiment, a control system for a power wheelchair is provided allowing a user to change the type of input control device throughout a day, week, month, and/or year as their physical and/or mental condition changes. This includes changing input controls from proportional to switch-type devices. A user may start the day when they are not tired with a proportional input control device like a proportional joystick. Then, as the day progresses and the user begins to experience fatigue or exhaustion, the user can change to a switch-type control device requiring less control and dexterity (e.g., less strength and energy) to effectively control the power wheelchair. The user can also start the day with a 4, 3, or 2 switch direction input control and later change to a single switch input control device with scanning. Other combinations are also possible.
Dental laser unit with communication link to assistance center
A medical treatment apparatus includes a power and control (PAC) device. The PAC device provides electrical power through a cable to a laser handpiece assembly to electrically power a laser source within the handpiece assembly. The PAC device controls operation of the handpiece assembly and detects an identification of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device also monitors data relating to operation of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device uploads, through a communication network to a user assistance center remote from the PAC device, the handpiece assembly identification and the monitored data.
Bed system and separation method
According to one embodiment, a bed system that is mechanically and electrically connectable to a main body of a medical image diagnosis apparatus includes a traveling unit and an interface. The traveling unit provided between the bed system and a floor surface. The interface configured to receive an operation of locking or unlocking driving of the traveling unit. The operation on the interface of locking or unlocking driving of the traveling unit is interlocked with electrical connection between the bed system and the main body.
Spine board
A spine board is provided having a skull tong anchor assembly slidably attached to the spine board where a push rod mechanism is used to apply traction force on the skull tong anchor assembly. The push rod mechanism includes a strain gauge device so that the traction force can be selected and monitored. The spine board can also include a mattress that can be attached to the spine board where the mattress includes integrated shoulder straps that can be partially detached therefrom to secure a patient to the spine board.
Control device and electric furniture
According to an embodiment, a control device includes multiple operation buttons, an acceptance part, and a displayer. The multiple operation buttons can control an operation of a movable part of electric furniture. In a first state in which the acceptance part receives a first input, the displayer displays a first display between the multiple operation buttons. A bed system is provided in which the ease of use can be improved. A control device and electric furniture are provided in which the operationability can be improved.
Patient support apparatus with automatic exit detection modes of operation
A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, etc., for supporting a patient includes an exit detection system with multiple user-selectable modes of operation that each have different sensitivity levels for triggering an exit alert. The exit detection system also includes one or more non-user selectable modes of operation that are automatically implemented in response to a triggering action. For example, a transition mode may be automatically implemented when the user attempts to switch from a first user-selectable mode to a different user selectable mode, or a motion mode may be automatically implemented when movement of one or more components of the patient support apparatus occurs. In the transition mode, the exit detection system may use a least restrictive sensitivity level. In the motion mode, the exit detection system may inhibit exit alerts and/or change the criteria for issuing the exit alert.
System for managing patient support apparatuses and clinical rounds
A caregiver assistance system for assisting a caregiver in a healthcare facility to perform his or her rounding duties comprises a server in communication with one or more patient beds and one or more electronic devices (e.g. smart phones) that are remote from the beds and that include a display, a user input, and a web browser. The server executes a caregiver assistance application that causes the electronic device to perform the following actions after the web browser of the electronic device accesses a particular URL whose content and function are controlled by the caregiver assistance application: (a) display rounding information on the display relating to a patient associated with the bed, and (b) forward a completion indication to the caregiver assistance application wherein the completion indication is generated in response to a caregiver manipulating the user input when the caregiver has completed a rounding task associated with the patient.
