High efficiency vented dryer having a heat pump system

A high efficiency vented dryer having a heat pump system comprises an outer drum, an air-intake drying air duct and an air-exhaust drying air duct for allowing the outer drum communicating with outside. The dryer is provided with a heat pump system comprising a first evaporator and a second evaporator arranged in parallel or in series. The first evaporator is arranged in the air-exhaust drying air duct and the second evaporator is arranged in an external atmosphere to absorb heat from the exhaust air and outside, respectively. By arranging the evaporators in the drying air duct and the external atmosphere respectively, the heat pump system can simultaneously or independently absorb heat from the air exhausted by the dryer and from the ambient air of the dryer to heat the intake air by using heat in the exhaust air and heat in the environment to improve drying rate of the dryer.

Self cleaning heater exchanger plate

A laundry appliance includes a blower that directs process air along an airflow path. An evaporator dehumidifies the process air and removes condensate from the process air. A heat exchange plate is disposed within the airflow path and supports the evaporator from below and within the airflow path. The heat exchange plate receives the condensate from the process air. A sloped area of the heat exchange plate directs the condensate downward and along the heat exchange plate to a condensate drain, wherein the sloped area includes a directing surface that blocks the process air from pushing the condensate upward and away from the condensate drain.

Clothes dryer and method for controlling same

The present invention relates to a clothes dryer, including a drum, a heat pump cycle having a first evaporator, a compressor and a condenser, and a blower for circulating air, wherein the heat pump cycle includes second to nth evaporators disposed in series with the first evaporator within an air duct; an auxiliary heat exchanger to cool refrigerant discharged from the condenser, and first to nth expansion valves to independently control flow rates of refrigerants flowing into the first to nth evaporators, wherein the dryer further includes a controller to control the compressor according to refrigerant discharge pressure of the compressor or refrigerant inlet pressure of the condenser.

Heat pump dryer with dual-exhaust compressor system and control method thereof

A heat pump clothes dryer comprising a circulating air path consisting of a drying drum and a drying air path for circularly flowing drying air; and a heat pump system consisting of an evaporator, a throttling device, a condenser and a compressor successively connected end to end for circularly flowing a refrigerant medium. The condenser and the evaporator are disposed on the drying air path, and perform heat exchange with the drying air. The compressor has independent suction compression chambers, each suction compression chamber being switchably connected in series or in parallel. When the dryer starts drying in a low-temperature environment, the suction compression chambers of the compressor operate in a parallel state, so that the air displacement of the compressor is increased to improve the flowing activity of the refrigerant medium in the heat pump system, so as to avoid occurrence of frosting of the evaporator.
