WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE AND METHODS FOR DRYING A WASH CHAMBER
20240011210 · 2024-01-11 ·

A washing machine appliance may include a cabinet, a tub, a wash basket, a ventilation line, a humidity sensor, and a controller. The ventilation line may define an air path from the tub through the cabinet. The humidity sensor may be mounted along the ventilation line to detect humidity therein. The controller may be in operative communication with the humidity sensor. The controller may be configured to direct a dry cycle that includes detecting a humidity level at the humidity sensor reaching a predetermined level target, measuring an elapsed time period to detecting the humidity level, determining the elapsed time period exceeds a baseline time period, recording an excess instance in response to determining the elapsed time period exceeds the baseline time period, determining a previous excess instance corresponding to a prior dry cycle, and determining a fault condition based on the excess instance and previous excess instance.

A CHEMICAL DOSING SYSTEM

Disclosed herein is a chemical dosing system for an appliance, such as a laundry washing machine or a dishwashing machine, having a water inlet, the system comprising a meter determining the volume of water supplied to the appliance, a pump for dispensing a quantity of a chemical to the appliance and a control unit arranged to receive a signal from the meter and to cause to be dispensed to the appliance a volume of chemical that is proportional to the quantity of water supplied to the appliance. The disclosed system may enable a correct quantity of chemical to be automatically dispensed to many types of appliance, without the need to know anything about the appliance, or to derive an electrical signal from the appliance.

LAUNDRY MACHINE HAVING INDUCTION HEATER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
20200208327 · 2020-07-02 ·

Disclosed herein is a laundry machine. More particularly, a laundry machine for generating steam by an induction heater and a control method thereof are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, provided is a method of controlling a laundry machine including a tub, a drum rotatably arranged in the tub to accommodate an object and provided with a through hole on an outer circumferential surface thereof, and an induction heater provided to the tub, and configured to perform a steam operation. The steam operation may include heating a heating surface of the drum facing the induction heater by driving the induction heater, spraying, through a spray nozzle, water toward the heating surface heated in the heating operation, and rotating the drum such that the steam is introduced into the drum through the through hole in a space between the tub and the drum.

WASHING MACHINE AND STEAM WASHING METHOD THEREOF

A washing machine and a steam washing method. In order to enable the washing machine to meet a user's demand for refined washing and to achieve the object of reducing washing machine costs and energy consumption, the steam washing method includes: receiving an initial washing program of the washing machine; determining whether a steam washing instruction is received; and if not, performing a corresponding initial washing operation according to the initial washing program, and if so, configuring at least one steam washing program based on the initial washing program, where the washing machine can perform the corresponding steam washing operation according to the steam washing program. The method heats a minimum amount of water each time to generate steam, and determines whether a second heating is performed to generate steam based on the washing effect, so massive heating is avoided if much steam is unnecessary, thus maximizing energy savings.

CONTROL METHOD FOR SQUEEZING WASHING MACHINE AND SQUEEZING WASHING MACHINE
20240026588 · 2024-01-25 ·

Disclosed are a control method for a squeezing washing machine and the squeezing washing machine. The method includes: controlling a washing and spinning tub (6) to perform a water absorption wash; controlling the washing and spinning tub (6) to perform a squeezing wash, where the squeezing wash means that the washing and spinning tub (6) rotates at a second rotation speed for a second time period; and repeatedly and alternately controlling the washing and spinning tub (6) to perform the water absorption wash and the squeezing wash based on the preset number of cycles to complete the wash or the rinse. The method is conducive to reduction of wear of the clothes during the wash or the rinse and improves washing efficiency.
