System and method for registering to a table

Techniques for registering a computer-assisted device to a table include a computer-assisted device having an articulated arm and a control unit coupled to the articulated arm. The control unit is configured to receive information of a first motion of a table. The first motion of the table caused a corresponding second motion of a point associated with the articulated arm. The control unit further configured to receive information of the second motion and determine a first angular relationship between the table and the computer-assisted device based on the first motion and the second motion.

Patient Support System With Chest Compression System And Harness Assembly With Sensor System

A patient support system with chest compression system and harness assembly with sensor system. The harness assembly secures shoulders and hips of the patient on a patient support surface during transport. A chest compression system is integrated into the harness assembly in a manner that provides chest compressions to the patient while the patient is secured on the patient support surface. The tension of the harness assembly is selectively adjusted and/or a fluid bladder may be selectively expanded. A controller is in communication with the chest compression system and controls operation of the chest compression system. The sensor system is integrated into the harness assembly and in communication with the controller. The chest compression system may be removable from the harness assembly via an adapter. The chest compression system may be integrated into the patient support apparatus to secure the patient to the patient support surface while providing chest compressions.

Systems and methods for surrounding information acquisition and feedback for intelligent wheelchairs

The present disclosure discloses the surrounding information collection, feedback system and method of the intelligent wheelchair. The system includes a processor, a movement module, and a holder, and the processor is configured to perform operations of receiving information, constructing a map, planning a route, and generating control parameters. The movement module executes the control parameters to move around and includes one or more sensors to detect the information. The holder includes one or more sensors to sense the information.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING/DETECTING AND RESPONDING TO INFANT BREATHING
20210361172 · 2021-11-25 · ·

This disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for detecting, monitoring, and responding to abnormalities in a subject's breathing or heartbeat. One or more sensing devices may collect breathing or heartbeat related data, which may be filtered and converted to a frequency signal. The frequency signal may be monitored for irregularity or stoppage, and a processing module may determine whether the irregularity or stoppage is caused by an actual stoppage or irregularity in breathing or heartbeat. If breathing or heartbeat is determined to have stopped, a corrective action may be performed.

Adjustable Patient Support Apparatus For Assisted Egress And Ingress

An adjustable patient support apparatus comprises a base, a support frame, and a patient support deck. The patient support deck comprises articulating deck sections, such as a leg section, seat section, and a back section pivotally coupled together. One or more actuators may be configured to move the leg and/or back section between a lowered position and one or more raised positions. The seat section may include one or more articulating seats to assist with ingress and egress from the patient support apparatus. The one or more seats may be articulated manually or electrically via a lever or actuator.

SUPPORT CUSHION

A support cushion to ameliorate the incidence of pressure ulcers, the support cushion comprising: an open or closed cell support structure; at least one cavity formed within the support structure; at least one vibrational device located within at least one of the cavities and imparting vibration to the support structure; a controller controlling operation of the vibrational device to adjust one or more of intensity, duration and location of vibrations in a predetermined manner according to one of a number of selected programmes, and at least one sensor adapted to map a pressure (weight) distribution map of a user. The support cushion may be adjustable in vibration intensity, duration, and location depending on the mapped pressure distribution. The mapped pressure distribution and history of vibrational intensity, duration, and location may also be logged for diagnosis and treatment purposes.

WHEELCHAIRS AND METHODS FOR ADJUSTING OR MAINTAINING A WHEELCHAIR USER'S CENTER OF GRAVITY

A wheelchair includes a seat, a first adjustable leg coupled to a first side of the seat, a second adjustable leg coupled to a second side of the seat, one or more turning sensors, and a control unit. The first adjustable leg includes a first leg actuator configured to extend and retract the first adjustable leg. The second adjustable leg includes a second leg actuator configured to extend and retract the second adjustable leg. The one or more turning sensors are configured to output a turning signal indicative of the wheelchair performing a turning motion. The control unit is operable to determine the wheelchair is performing the turning motion based on the turning signal, and automatically adjust a tilt angle of the seat with the first leg actuator and the second leg actuator to lean a user of the wheelchair into the turning motion.

PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS WITH AUTOMATIC EXIT DETECTION MODES OF OPERATION

A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, etc., for supporting a patient includes an exit detection system with multiple user-selectable modes of operation that each have different sensitivity levels for triggering an exit alert. The exit detection system also includes one or more non-user selectable modes of operation that are automatically implemented in response to a triggering action. For example, a transition mode may be automatically implemented when the user attempts to switch from a first user-selectable mode to a different user selectable mode, or a motion mode may be automatically implemented when movement of one or more components of the patient support apparatus occurs. In the transition mode, the exit detection system may use a least restrictive sensitivity level. In the motion mode, the exit detection system may inhibit exit alerts and/or change the criteria for issuing the exit alert.
