COMBINATION OF AN ORGANIC SUBSTRATE AND ORGANIC FORMULATION FOR USE AS A CUTTING BOARD AND STORAGE CONTAINER
A combination is provided that is used as a self-healing cutting board or a storage container. Both comprise a natural fabric and a formulation. The formulation infuses the natural fabric. The formulation comprises a natural wax, which is preferably bees wax and Damar resin, and has a melting point of about 70 C to about 80 C. The cutting board can be rejuvenated by heating. Both the board and the storage containers are anti-microbial, non-skid, water resistant, re-useable and compostable.
ULTRA-HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYETHYLENE FUSED YARN
A fused yarn (1) including an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene multifilament contains a liquid paraffin having an average molecular weight of 400 or more in an amount 15% by weight or more. The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fused yarn (1) of the present invention is excellent in fusibility.
Fluid-repellant, antimicrobial fabrics and methods for making same
In one embodiment, a fabric is treated by creating a treatment solution comprising a fluid repellant and an antimicrobial compound, creating a treatment foam from the treatment solution, and applying the treatment foam to only an outer side of a fabric so as to coat the outer side of the fabric with the fluid repellant and the antimicrobial compound without coating an inner side of the fabric with the fluid repellant and the antimicrobial compound.
SEWING THREAD TREATMENT AGENT AND SEWING THREAD
An object of the present invention is to provide a sewing thread treatment agent, and a sewing thread, each achieving low friction properties across a wide range of sewing speeds. As a solution, a sewing thread treatment agent is provided, which is characterized in that it contains a hydroxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (A), a nonionic surfactant (B), and at least one type of wax (C) selected from paraffin wax, oxidized paraffin wax, polyethylene wax, oxidized polyethylene wax, and carnauba wax.

Carbon fiber complex material and manufacturing method thereof, manufacturing apparatus for carbon fiber complex material, prepreg, and carbon fiber reinforced plastic composite material
A carbon fiber complex material for a carbon fiber reinforced plastic composite material includes a carbon fiber material formed from a continuous carbon fiber, and carbon nanowalls formed on a surface of the continuous carbon fiber.
TREATMENT AGENT FOR ELASTIC FIBERS, AND ELASTIC FIBER
Disclosed is an elastic fiber treatment agent that contains a smoothing agent and an alkyl phosphate ester compound. The alkyl phosphate ester compound contains specific phosphate ester Q1 and at least one or more selected from specific phosphate esters Q2 and Q3. In a P nucleus NMR measurement of the alkyl phosphate ester compound upon an alkali over-neutralization pretreatment, a P nucleus NMR integral ratio attributed to the phosphate ester Q1 is 15% to 60% if the sum of P nucleus NMR integral ratios attributed to the phosphate esters Q1 to Q3 and phosphoric acid and its salt is taken as 100%.
ELASTIC FIBER TREATING AGENT AND ELASTIC FIBER
Disclosed is an elastic fiber treatment agent that contains at least one smoothing agent selected from the group consisting of mineral oils, silicone oils, and ester oils and at least one naturally derived ingredient selected from the group consisting of terpene resins and terpene resin derivatives. Also disclosed is an elastic fiber treatment agent that contains at least one smoothing agent selected from the group consisting of mineral oils, silicone oils, and ester oils and at least one naturally derived ingredient selected from the group consisting of rosins and rosin derivatives. In one aspect, the smoothing agent includes a mineral oil and the mineral oil content of the smoothing agent (A) is 59.5% to 95% by mass.
