CATIONIC POLYMER THICKENERS
The invention relates to a process for preparing a cationic polymer thickener in particle form, said polymer consisting of a crosslinked water swellable cationic polymer comprising at least one cationic water soluble monomer and optionally at least one non-ionic water soluble monomer and/or at least one anionic water soluble monomer, wherein said polymer has a water extractable polymer content lower than 15 wt % as compared to the weight of the polymer, and wherein said polymer is obtained by gel polymerization of said monomers in the presence of from 500 ppm to 10.000 ppm of crosslinking agent relative to the weight of the monomers.
WATER-REPELLENT RESIN, WATER-REPELLENT FABRIC, AND FABRICATING METHOD THEREOF
A water-repellent fabric includes a base cloth and a water-repellent resin. The water-repellent resin is disposed on the base cloth, in which a method of fabricating the water-repellent resin includes the following steps. A first thermal process is performed to mix a polyol, a cross-linking agent, and a choline to form a first mixture, in which a reaction temperature of the first thermal process is between 90° C. and 120° C. A second thermal process is performed to mix the first mixture and a water repellent to form the water-repellent resin, in which the water repellent includes a hydroxyl group, an amino group, or combinations thereof, and a reaction temperature of the second thermal process is between 120° C. and 150° C.
BLOCK-MODIFIED POLYSILOXANES AND COMPOSITIONS FORMED THEREOF
Block-modified polysiloxanes and compositions comprising the block-modified polysiloxanes are useful in the field of textile finishing. Emulsions comprising the compositions have a very small and narrowly distributed particle size which increases penetration, and provide good softening properties coupled with good hydrophilicity.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A REINFORCING MATERIAL AND REINFORCING MATERIAL
The invention relates to a method for producing a reinforcement material in the form of a core-shell structure, in particular of a tyre cord, wherein there is provided in a step a core having linear arrangements, in particular a cord-like core, wherein the linear arrangements have segments that are coupled to one another in a linear way by means of strength-increasing segment couplings, and wherein in a further step the core is provided with a shell by forming a core-shell coupling that increases adhesion, wherein segment couplings that are near to the surface are converted for the core-shell coupling.
PREPARATION METHOD FOR ESTERQUATS BASED ON OIL
The present invention relates to a process for producing an esterquat by a transesterification reaction of a fatty acid oil or a mixture comprising one or more fatty acid oils and one or more fatty acids with a tertiary hydroxy amine and then a quaternization reaction. Esterquats obtained by the method of the invention show beneficial properties in particular when used as active component in fabric softener materials.
NON-CATIONIC SOFTENERS AND METHODS OF USE
A composition comprising a non-cationic amine epoxide adduct is disclosed, along with methods of making the same. Use of a composition comprising a non-cationic amine epoxide adduct on textiles and paper, particularly woven textiles, tissues, and nonwoven textiles to soften the textiles and paper, along with methods of using a non-cationic amine epoxide adduct to treat a target, are also disclosed.
Carbon fiber complex material and manufacturing method thereof, manufacturing apparatus for carbon fiber complex material, prepreg, and carbon fiber reinforced plastic composite material
A carbon fiber complex material for a carbon fiber reinforced plastic composite material includes a carbon fiber material formed from a continuous carbon fiber, and carbon nanowalls formed on a surface of the continuous carbon fiber.
ALKOXYLATED-POLYETHYLENIMINE AND COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME
The present invention relates to an alkoxylated polyethylenimine, for use in textile treatment in textile industry, especially in textile finishing processes.
METHOD FOR TREATING A FABRIC IN A DRYER IN PRESENCE OF MICROORGANISMS
A method of treating a fabric in a dryer, the method including placing the fabric in the dryer and delivering at least 1×10.sup.2 CFU of cleaning microorganisms into the dryer.
TEXTILE FABRIC-ELASTOMER COMPOSITE
Disclosed herein is a composite material that is formed from a textile substrate having a surface, the textile substrate formed from a yarn, where the yarn is formed from a plurality of fibres or filaments, such that the yarn has a core region of fibres or filaments surrounded by a peripheral region of fibres or filaments; and a cured elastomeric material layer laid over the whole or part of the textile substrate surface, where the cured elastomeric material penetrates into the yarn and is attached to the fibres or filaments in the peripheral region of the yarn.
