20200130553 · 2020-04-30 ·

A carpet for a sound reduction material is disclosed including: a non-permeable primary coating layer formed of polyethylene (PE) resin, being in contact with a lower surface of a fabric layer and having a basis weight of 200 to 300 g/m.sup.2; a permeable felt layer in contact with a lower surface of the primary coating layer and having a basis weight of 200 to 500 g/m.sup.2; and a non-permeable secondary coating layer formed of polyethylene (PE) resin or ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), being in contact with a lower surface of the felt layer and having a basis weight of 200 to 1,000 g/m.sup.2. The carpet for a sound reduction material may thus have improved noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) performance, reduced total weight and improved stiffness.

NAPPED ARTIFICIAL LEATHER AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
20200123702 · 2020-04-23 · ·

Disclosed is a production method of a napped artificial leather including the steps of: providing a fiber sheet including a non-woven fabric of ultrafine fibers with a fineness of 1 dtex or less that has been impregnated with a first elastic polymer; napping one or both surfaces of the fiber sheet to form a napped surface thereon; applying, to the napped surface, a resin solution containing a second elastic polymer having solubility in a predetermined solvent; and applying the predetermined solvent to the surface to which the resin solution is applied. Also disclosed is a napped artificial leather including a fiber sheet obtained by impregnating a first elastic polymer into a non-woven fabric that is an entangled body of ultrafine fibers with a fineness of 1 dtex or less, wherein the fiber sheet includes, on one or both surfaces thereof, a napped surface obtained by the ultrafine fibers, and a second elastic polymer is fixed to basal portions of the napped ultrafine fibers.

Water-resistant composition

An example composition includes a cloth, which has on each side thereof, a first waterproofing agent, a barrier which inhibits or prevents environmental degradation, and an elastomeric barrier including a second waterproofing agent. Another example composition includes a cloth with a phenolic resin coating having, on each side thereof, a first waterproofing agent, a barrier which inhibits or prevents environmental degradation, and an elastomeric barrier including a second waterproofing agent.

Multi-layered coated fabric for personal protective equipment

A coating fabric and method of manufacturing the same are provided. A coated fabric includes a base coating layer. The base coating layer defines a smooth coating to resist liquid penetration to the fabric. The coated fabric also includes a middle foam coating layer that is deposited on at least a portion of the base coating layer. The middle foam layer defines a middle layer foam density and is configured to absorb at least a portion of liquid. The coated fabric further includes an outer foam coating layer that is deposited on at least a portion of the middle foam coating later. The outer foam layer defines an outer layer foam density and is configured with holes to allow liquid to penetrate to the middle foam layer. The middle layer foam density is less than the outer layer foam density. A corresponding method of manufacturing is also provided.
