Aspects are directed to printing a garment and include a method having steps of providing a fabric panel containing polyester, applying an ink layer to a first area of the fabric panel, curing the ink layer, and applying a sublimation dye to the first area and a different second area of the fabric panel. Application of the sublimation dye causes the first area and the second area to have different color saturations. Other aspects include a garment with a fabric panel containing polyester that has a first surface with a first area and a different second area. The garment also includes an ink layer on the first surface and located at the first area and a sublimation dye absorbed by a portion of the fabric panel at the second area and on a surface of the ink layer at the first area.

COMPOSITE FABRIC COMPRISING A BACTERIAL BIOPOLYMER LAYER
20170314190 · 2017-11-02 ·

Provided is a composite fabric having a base fabric and at least one bacterial biopolymer layer. The base fabric is a woven fabric, and includes warp yarns and weft yarns. At least a first plurality of warp yarns and a first plurality of weft yarns form a base layer of the base fabric. A second plurality of warp yarns and/or a second plurality of weft yarns forms an additional layer of loop portions on at least one of the sides of the base fabric. The bacterial biopolymer layer is provided at least on part of the additional layer. Further provided is a process for the production of the composite fabric and a clothing article formed of the composite fabric.

Quinacridone pigments that are surface-functionalized with glycidyl methacrylate, maleic anhydride, or 4-methacryloxyethyl trimellitic anhydride to create a functionalized pigment. The functional groups are then activated to bond hydrophobic polymers, thereby coating the pigment with the hydrophobic polymers. The quinacridone pigments can be used for a variety of applications. They are well-suited for use in electro-optic materials, such as electrophoretic media for use in electrophoretic displays.

Method for processing wool garments for inhibiting their subsequent felting and shrinkage, and a wool garment treated by the method

A method for the treatment of wool garments with ozone gas to control and inhibit their felting and shrinkage during their subsequent industrial finishing process and/or domestic washing care, and a wool garment treated with said method. The method includes wetting the garments and treating the garments inside the interior of a rotative tumbler for a time period of between 15 and 60 minutes at ambient temperature with ozone gas, the ozone gas being at a concentration in air of between 20 g ozone/Nm.sup.3 and 150 g ozone/Nm.sup.3, where the rotative tumbler which contains the garments is rotated at a speed of between 10 rounds/min and 25 rounds/min. The method is improved by adding treating the garments with enzymes.
