An example ambulation aid apparatus includes an ambulation aid body formed as a integral part, the integral part formed in monocoque construction to provide support for mobility of a user through the integral part, the integral part providing a plurality of grippable areas to facilitate user movement and support through the integral part. Another example ambulation aid apparatus includes a primary panel formed in monocoque construction to provide support for and assist in mobility of a user through the skin of the monocoque primary panel, the primary panel formed to interrelate with one or more subassemblies to provide an integrated monocoque part to assist in providing support for and improved mobility of the user through the integrated monocoque part. Example methods of manufacture are also disclosed and described.
Walker shelf system
A walker shelf system for supporting items on shelves which are storable on the front of a walker includes the walker, a top tray, a bottom tray, and a tray holder. The tray holder is mounted to the front of the walker and defines a slot for simultaneously receiving the top tray and the bottom tray into a stored position. The top tray and the bottom tray are positionable in a top position and a bottom position respectively such that they extend between a first lateral frame and a second lateral frame of the walker.
MOBILITY DEVICE
A mobility device can have a frame, a pair of rear wheels, and one or more casters. The mobility device can further comprise a stem having handlebars at a first end and a front wheel at a second end. The stem can be selectively positioned relative to the frame between a first position, in which the front wheel and the rear wheels engage the ground, and a second position, in which the rear wheel and the caster(s) engage the ground.
WALKERS AND METHODS OF USE
A walker having a folded position and an unfolded position, wherein the walker comprises a structural frame with a first upright portion, a second upright portion, a folding mechanism between the first upright portion and the second upright portion, ground engaging elements on each of the first upright portion and second upright portion, and a foldable basket with first and second opposed ends secured by one or more fasteners to the first upright portion and the second upright portion, respectively. In another embodiment, walker comprises a structural frame with a first end, a second end, and sides between the first end and the second end, a handle or handles on the structural frame at the first end of the structural frame, ground engaging elements at the first end and the second end of the structural frame, and a suspension system integrated with the structural frame.
Walker seat
A walker seat may include a seat bottom and a support structure. The seat bottom may include an anterior region, a posterior region, an upper side, and a lower side. The lower side may include a central segment retention portion. The support structure may include a central segment, a left-side segment, and a right-side segment. The central segment may be retained by the central segment retention portion. The left-side segment may be extendable from a left side of the central segment, whereby the left-side segment extends beyond a left side of the seat bottom. Similarly, the right-side segment may be extendable from a right side of the central segment, whereby the right-side segment extends beyond a right side of the seat bottom.
Exercise Apparatus and System for Stationary Users
Exercise equipment, particularly a linear movable structure and associated selectable elastic resistance bands with or without guide track members are designed to allow low-impact exercises for one or two persons at the same time while permitting either or both participants to remain stationary when utilizing the equipment.
Rollator
Example rollators and associated methods of manufacture are disclosed and described herein. An example rollator apparatus includes: a first non-tubular portion; a second non-tubular portion; a connecting portion between the first non-tubular portion and the second non-tubular portion, the first non-tubular portion and the second non-tubular portion foldable with respect to the connecting portion, a connected combination of the first non-tubular portion and the second non-tubular portion supporting weight and mobility of a user when unfolded; a seat positioned between the first non-tubular portion and the second non-tubular portion; a first pair of wheels connected to the first non-tubular portion; and a second pair of wheels connected to the second non-tubular portion.
MOBILITY ASSISTANCE DEVICE
Devices and methods for mobility assistance are disclosed. The disclosed features may assist a person with movement by providing support for the person as the person moves. Further, features for easily storing and transporting items in various compartments of the device are disclosed. Support of the user and/or items may be provided by a lightweight composite structure that further allows for free movement of the user, such as taking full strides while walking or running. The device may further be repeatedly configured between collapsed and deployed configurations via a locking mechanism and an actuatable release. Pivotable joints allow the various sections to be stowed into a smaller, collapsed configuration that is easily carried or otherwise transported, as well as deployed into a larger, deployed configuration for assistance while moving.
Walker tray for use with a walker apparatus
A walker tray is removably attachable to a walker for enabling a user to support items. In some embodiments, the walker tray is light-transmissive for enabling a user to see through the tray. The walker tray includes a tray-to-walker attachment mechanism, and in this regard, some embodiments either include a pair of laterally opposed handle-receiving apertures or resilient clip elements. In those embodiments having handle-receiving apertures for mounting the tray upon the walker, each aperture has an aperture and an aperture width. The aperture lengths and aperture widths are configured to receive at least upper handle portions of a walker. Each of the handle-receiving apertures are defined inwardly by an inner leg-engaging edge configured to engage at least a forward leg portion and a rearward leg portion. Together the forward and rearward leg portions and the inner leg-engaging edge are cooperable to support the walker tray upon the walker.
