SLING
The disclosure provides a sling including a sleeve, a first eye formed by a first splice, and a second eye formed by a second splice. The sleeve includes braided strands and has a first end portion, a second end portion, and an intermediate portion between. The sleeve also defines a hollow inner volume. The first splice is made by the first end portion extending into and along part of the hollow inner volume proximate the first eye. The second splice is made by the second end portion extending into and along part of the hollow inner volume proximate the second eye. A hollow load bearing portion is defined in the intermediate portion between the first splice and the second splice.
Tubular body
A tubular body that includes a plurality of first wires distributed in an annular portion of the tubular body, and a plurality of deformed second wires alternately disposed between each of the plurality of first wires, the plurality of first wires and the plurality of deformed second wires being in an alternately twisted arrangement in a longitudinal direction of the tubular body, where each of the plurality of first wires has a substantially circular shape in a cross section view, and each of the plurality of deformed second wires has a non-circular shape in the cross section view, has an arcuate side portion that receive a part of a side surface of an adjacent wire of the plurality of first wires, and has an annular sector shape protruding in a radial direction in the cross section view of the tubular body.

Lariat device and method of manufacture
Methods and systems for ropes used to catch livestock such as a cattle roping lariat. In one embodiment, the lariat includes a set of strands, each strand including a set of yarns surrounding a central core. The set of strands are twisted to form a twisted rope. The lariat is manufactured using a set of components including a head box, a tree-cross box with a branched strand tree device and a cross device, and a tail box.

Hollow stranded wire line for manipulation
[Object] A hollow stranded wire line, for manipulation, having an excellent torque transmittability is provided. [Solution] A hollow stranded wire line 2 for manipulation is a hollow stranded wire line 2 that is advantageously used as a stranded wire line for manipulation in a medical instrument, and a side wire 4 or a side strand which is an outermost layer has a forming rate that is greater than 100% and not greater than 110%. The side wire 4 or the side strand having been formed has a spiral shape in which a flatness that is an aspect ratio obtained by a major axis being divided by a minor axis is preferably not less than 1.01 and preferably not greater than 1.10.

Splitting method
A method is provided for manufacturing at least first and second assemblies of M1 filamentary elements and M2 filamentary elements. At least one of the first and second assemblies includes a plurality of filamentary elements wound together in a helix. The method includes a step of assembling M filamentary elements together into a layer of the M filamentary elements around a temporary core, to form a temporary assembly. The method also includes a step of splitting the temporary assembly into at least the first and second assemblies of M1 filamentary elements and M2 filamentary elements.
