The light-blocking fabric including: two light-shielding parts which are made of a non-transparent fabric; and a light-transmitting part located between the two light-shielding parts, and attached to a position that is at least half of any one surface of the light-shielding parts so as to overlap therewith in the longitudinal direction, wherein the light-shielding parts and the light-transmitting part can be attached together by various methods such as hot melting, an adhesive, sewing, or ultrasonic welding.

FABRIC PANELS, SHEER FABRICS, AND/OR COVERING FOR ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES, AND RELATED SYSTEMS
20200080370 · 2020-03-12 ·

A sheer fabric for use in a fabric panel is disclosed where the sheer fabric is formed from a plurality of yarns having a denier from about 25 up to 35, wherein the plurality of yarns are configured and arranged as a plurality of diagonal structures each forming a diamond-shaped opening, wherein the sheer fabric has an openness factor of about seventy five percent (75%) and greater. In one or more embodiments the sheer fabric has properties that resist the formation of puckers, including in an embodiment an improved elongation percentage upon application of a force, and in one or more aspects, an improved variability of the elongation percentage upon application of the force. Additional and alternative properties of the sheer fabric are disclosed. The sheer fabric finds application in a fabric panel or assembly that can be used as a light-controlling covering.

Bamboo shade fabric

Present invention teaches a bamboo fabric shade that is woven in a weft and warp fashion from a plurality of bamboo filaments. An alternative embodiment of dual bamboo filaments as a single unit for the weaving is done in a similar fashion. Each bamboo filament has a high molecular mass bamboo thread inside a layer of coating wherein the coating is made to be thicker at a middle node section with the thickness tapering off towards the two distal ends of the high molecular mass bamboo thread. The coating uses PVC material, with optional addition of UV-absorbent materials. Such construction of the bamboo fabric adds to the reduction of light pollution when used for home decoration purposes.

The present disclosure is generally directed to a covering for architectural features, which may include windows, doorways, archways, and the like, where the covering includes a panel made from a light diffusing material. The light diffusing material is designed and engineered to allow a significant amount of light to pass through the material for providing a desired visual effect while having improved dimensional stability. The covering may contain a light diffusing material that extends along a first direction of the covering (e.g., vertically). The light diffusing material may have an openness factor of about 60% or greater and contain pillars extending in the first direction and bridges extending between the pillars. Each pillar may contain at least two yarns, and each bridge may contain at least one yarn.
