MOBILITY AID ROBOT NAVIGATING METHOD AND MOBILITY AID ROBOT USING THE SAME
Navigation of a mobility aid robot having a camera and gripping part(s) disposed toward different directions is disclosed. The mobility aid robot is navigated to approach a user by identifying a posture of the user through the camera, determining a mode of the robot according to a type of the specified task to be performed on the user and the identified posture of the user, controlling the robot to move according to a planned trajectory corresponding to the determined mode of the robot, and turning the robot upon reaching the desired pose such that the gripping part faces the user, in response to the determined mode of the robot corresponding to the specified task of an assisting type and the user at one of a standing posture and a sitting posture.
Walker specialized for trail use
A walker specialized for use on trails by pushing and walking, rather than riding on, with no drivetrain is provided. The walker can include a frame, two inline wheels, and a handlebar steering mechanism. The walker can further include a braking mechanism, an elbow rest, an electric motor, and racks and/or carriers for gear.
CABLE TENSION ADJUSTER FOR HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE WHEELED VEHICLE
The present application relates to a cable tension adjuster for a manually operated, height-adjustable wheeled vehicle. The vehicle includes a brake assembly including a brake cable assembly and a brake cable housing shaped to enclose an excess portion of the brake cable assembly. The brake assembly includes a cable adjuster coupled to the brake cable assembly, where the cable adjuster is enclosed by the brake cable housing. The brake cable housing provides an access port to access the cable tension adjuster.
Systems and methods for providing synchronized movements of a powered wheelchair and an exoskeleton
Embodiments herein are directed to a system that includes a powered wheelchair, a user-worn exoskeleton, and a master controller. The master controller monitors the independent movements of the powered wheelchair and the user-worn exoskeleton. The master controller prioritizes the movement of the powered wheelchair and the user-worn exoskeleton such that only one of the powered wheelchair or the user-worn exoskeleton will have the priority to complete the intended movement. The master controller may coordinate movements between the powered wheelchair and the user-worn exoskeleton so to perform a plurality of predetermined programs. For example, assisting a user to sit within the powered wheelchair, to assist a user to stand from a seating position when outside of the powered wheelchair, and/or use the powered wheelchair as a guide for walking.
ROLLATOR
A rollator includes a collapsible frame supported on a plurality of wheels, a pair of handlebars, and a braking mechanism.
Collapsible walking device
Disclosed is a collapsible walking device that can be disposed in an operative (open) configuration and a storage (closed) configuration. The open, operative configuration of the walking device provides a structure to aid a user in walking or standing. The closed, storage configuration allows for easy and convenient storage and transport of the walking device. The collapsible walking device can be transitioned from the operative configuration to the storage configuration in one motion. The walking device includes four support legs that extend to the ground from adjacent two handles, and a seat configured to support the user.
Walker
A walker is provided. The walker includes a walker body, a handle unit, a first wheel unit and a second wheel unit. The handle unit is connected to the walker body. The first wheel unit is connected to the walker body. The second wheel unit is connected to the walker body. In an auxiliary mode, a first gap is formed between the first wheel unit and the second wheel unit. In a driving mode, a second gap is formed between the first wheel unit and the second wheel unit. The first gap is smaller than the second gap.
Convertible wheelchair
A convertible wheelchair is provided. The convertible wheelchair can have a wheelchair configuration and a walker configuration to allow a user to alternately sit and stand, and can include a frame supporting a chair. The chair can be foldable and can include a chair back and a chair seat. The convertible wheelchair can include support and stability mechanisms accessible in the wheelchair configuration and the walker configuration including one or more torso supports, a fall seat, and stability bars.
MOBILITY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Described herein are various improvements to mobility devices. These improvements include, for example, adjustable lateral body supports, multi axial supports for accommodating movement of the pelvis during walking, frame folding assemblies for accommodating storage and transportation, detachable support couplings for supportive accessories, foldaway footplate assemblies for allowing users to rest, wheel brake systems, caster wheel systems, suspension support systems, control button assemblies, and center of gravity adjustment assemblies. One or more these improvements can be combined into various mobility devices as will be described in more detail hereinafter.
