Moulding of articles

A method of forming a molded article includes preparing a fiber suspension by liquidizing fibrous material in a suspending liquid using at least one high shear mixer. The fiber suspension is fed to the molding surface of a porous mold. The suspending liquid is removed via the pores of the porous mold to deposit suspended fibers on the mold surface as a molded article. Removing the suspending liquid is achieved by pressing a bladder formed of a flexible impermeable membrane against the article using pressure applied behind the membrane. The molded article is removed from the porous mold dried using microwave radiation generated using at least one magnetron. A molding apparatus is use in the method and a molded article is produced by the method.

METHOD OF DRYING PAPER USING INDUCTIVE ENERGY AND RELATED PAPERMAKING MACHINE DRYER SECTION AND INDUSTRIAL TEXTILES

A papermaking machine having at least one of a dryer section or a press section configured to receive a web of material, at least one inductive energy generator, and first and second fabrics, which can be dryer or press fabrics, including induction heat susceptors. The first and second fabrics are supported for movement through the at least one of the dryer section or the press section and adapted to contact the web of material. The inductive energy generator is used to generate heat in the induction heat susceptors in order to heat a paper web being carried by the fabrics in order to remove moisture.

YANKEE DRIER FOR PAPER PRODUCTION

A Yankee drier for paper production including a body having a metal mantle with circular cross-section and two side heads on which are formed or mounted two respective coaxial pins arranged along a rotation axis of the Yankee, the body being configured to rotate with a predetermined angular speed around the rotation axis. Inside the body is arranged a fixed electromagnetic induction heating system comprising one or more inductors interacting electromagnetically with the mantle to produce induced electric currents in the same mantle, the one or more inductors being arranged near the radially innermost surface of the mantle.

PAPERMAKING MACHINE

A papermaking machine including a Yankee including a body provided with a metal mantle with circular cross-section and two end heads on which are formed or mounted two respective coaxial pins arranged along a rotation axis of the Yankee, the body being configured to rotate with a predetermined angular speed around said rotation axis. Inside the body is arranged a fixed electromagnetic induction heating system including one or more inductors interacting electromagnetically with the mantle to produce induced electric currents in the same mantle, the inductors being arranged near the radially innermost surface of the mantle. In the machine is arranged a structured web configured for transporting a sheet of fibrous material up to the contact of the latter with the mantle of the Yankee.
