SHEET MANUFACTURING APPARATUS AND SHEET MANUFACTURING METHOD
A sheet manufacturing apparatus including an accumulating unit that causes a defibrated product to accumulate in a dry manner and forms a web, a moisture adding unit that adds moisture from a side of one surface of the formed web such that a moisture content of the web is equal to or more than 12 mass % and equal to or less than 40 mass %, and a heating unit that heats the web to which moisture is added. The heating unit has a first portion that comes in contact with the one surface of the web and a second portion that comes in contact with another surface of the web, and the heating unit heats the web in a state of a surface temperature of the first portion being higher than a surface temperature of the second portion.
Deflecting member for making fibrous structures
A deflection member that includes a reinforcing member and a plurality of tiles fastened to the reinforcing member.
Lotioned Fibrous Structures and Methods for Making Same
Fibrous structures having a surface pattern of a continuous knuckle region and a plurality of discrete pillow regions such that the fibrous structures exhibit improved lotion transfer compared to known fibrous structures and better sheet control during the making of such fibrous structures are provided.
Through-air apparatus with adjustable deckle
A through-air apparatus for drying or bonding paper or non-woven products is provided. The apparatus includes a through air roll configured to rotate about a first axis, where the roll has a cylindrical surface having a plurality of openings configured for the flow of air there through. The apparatus also includes an air distribution tube positioned within the through air roll. The air distribution tube has a cylindrical surface, a first end, and a second end, and the cylindrical surface of the air distribution tube has a plurality of openings configured for the flow of air there through. The apparatus further includes a first adjustable deckle associated with the air distribution tube configured to alter the flow of air through the air distribution tube. The first adjustable deckle includes a first floating plate configured to selectively cover a first portion of the plurality of openings in the air distribution tube, and a first deckle wall, wherein the first deckle wall is movable independent of the first floating plate. A method of assembling a through-air apparatus for drying or bonding paper or non-woven products is also provided.
CONTROL METHOD FOR SHEET MANUFACTURING APPARATUS AND SHEET MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
A control method for a sheet manufacturing apparatus includes a stop signal input step of inputting, to the sheet manufacturing apparatus manufacturing a sheet, a stop signal stopping manufacturing of the sheet and a drying step of drying a predetermined area of the sheet manufacturing apparatus by controlling a blower of the sheet manufacturing apparatus after the stop signal input step.

Device and Method for Producing a Pulp Web
The invention relates to a method and a device for drying a pulp web, with dewatering of the pulp web by pressing and the pulp web being guided directly on the press belt to a first transfer area for transfer of the pulp web to a transfer clothing and transfer of the pulp web in a second transfer area to a dryer. It is characterized in that the pulp web undergoes thermal drying between the first transfer area and the second transfer area. This enables production of a pulp web with improved quality characteristics and low energy consumption at the same time.

Single ply tissue having improved cross-machine direction properties
Provided are tissue webs, and products produced therefrom, that are generally durable, flexible and have improved cross-machine direction (CD) properties, such as CD tensile energy absorption (CD TEA), CD stretch and CD modulus. The inventive tissue products generally comprise a single tissue ply that has been prepared by through-air drying and more preferably by through-air drying without creping. Moreover, the products may be produced using a transfer fabric positioned between the forming fabric and the through-air drying fabric where the transfer fabric imparts the nascent web with a high degree of CD strain.
