Apparatus and method for realizing a web of fibrous material
An apparatus for producing a web of fibrous material includes a roll having incisions with a depth of 0.01-2.00 mm, a width of 0.01-2.00 mm, and a pitch 0.01-10.00 mm, and rotated at a peripheral velocity v.sub.1 equal to the velocity of an upstream apparatus unit; a belt stretched between transmission rollers that advances at a velocity v.sub.2 less than v.sub.1, wherein v.sub.1/v.sub.2 lies between 1.05 and 1.40; a presser roller rotating at a peripheral velocity v.sub.2, associated with a presser system acting to press the belt against the metal roll with a pressure of 1-200 kg per centimeter; and a system that feeds a sheet of pliable fibrous material between the belt and the roll, the belt having a longitudinal elongation of no more than 5%, dimensional stability along its entire length, a thickness of 1-10 cm, and a hardness 24-70° Shore A.
Device having free-running cooling rollers for producing a fibre composite material in the form of a fibre strip impregnated with polymer
A device having at least one pair of free-running cooling rollers for the continuous production of a fibre strip impregnated with polymer, wherein the fibres are continuous fibres and the fibres in the impregnated fibre strip are aligned unidirectionally in the direction of travel of the impregnated fibre strip. Preferably, at least one of the two rollers is equipped with a pair of sealing rings preferably of the same type. Also disclosed is a polymer-impregnated fiber strip, a process for producing a polymer-impregnated fiber strip, and a multilayer composite.
Calender, and floor production line and production method
The present application provides a calender, a floor production line and a production method using the calender, wherein the calender comprises a calendering roller rack and a set of calendering rollers arranged on the calendering roller rack. The set of calendering rollers comprises a plurality of calendering rollers arranged in a line and not vertically. The present application changes the arrangement of the calendering rollers. The calendering rollers are arranged in a line, not vertically. This arrangement reduces the overall height of the calender, decreases the requirements of the calender on the height of the factory building and facilitates long-distance transportation by containers. Using the calender to assemble the floor production line, the height space of the factory building occupied by the production line can be saved.

CALENDER FOR THE TREATMENT OF WEB-LIKE MATERIALS
Calender for the treatment of web-like materials, including a fixed structure supporting two heated rollers reciprocally arranged so as to form a nip traversable by web-like materials, where each roller has pins mounted on bearings. The structure includes two lower levers and two upper levers adapted for exerting on the bearings forces oriented according to not coinciding directions, each lever being connected with an actuator that controls its rotation around a horizontal axis to put it in a first engagement position of the respective bearing and in a second release position, such that in the second position of the levers the extraction of the rollers from the calender is allowed.
CORRUGATING ROLLER HAVING ENHANCED HEAT TRANSFER EFFECTIVENESS
A fluid circulation heating roller according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a roller body having a hollow cylindrical shape, a rotation shaft extending from each of opposite end portions of the roller body and disposed in the same center line, multiple first ducts extending in an axial direction in the roller body so as to heat the outer circumferential portion of the roller body, multiple second ducts extending in the axial direction on the outer circumferential portion of the roller body, wherein the number of second ducts are the same as the number of first ducts, and an insert inserted into at least one of the first or second ducts and extending in the axial direction. The generation of turbulence flow of fluid can be suppressed and laminar flow can be induced, whereby it is possible to maintain fluid-flowing speed and facilitate steam circulation and heat transfer.
Smooth and low density paperboard structures and methods for manufacturing the same
A method for manufacturing a paperboard structure includes passing a paperboard substrate through a hot-hard calender to yield a calendered paperboard substrate, the hot-hard calender including a nip defined by a thermo-roller and a counter roller, wherein a contact surface of the thermo-roller is heated to an elevated temperature. The method then includes applying a basecoat to the calendered paperboard substrate to yield a basecoated paperboard substrate, the basecoat includes a basecoat binder and a basecoat pigment blend. The method further includes applying a topcoat to the basecoated paperboard substrate.
Roll Cover, Roll, And Use Of Said Roll
A roll covering includes a functional layer formed of a polymer which is a blend of at least one rubber and one millable polyurethane rubber. The polymer includes from 65% by weight to 85% by weight of the at least one rubber and from 15% by weight to 35% by weight of the millable polyurethane rubber. A roll having the roll core, a method of using the roll and a combination of the roll and a heated drying cylinder are also provided.
Tissue rolls having variable cross-machine direction properties
The invention provides calendered tissue webs and products produced by passing a tissue web through a calender nip created by a patterned roll having a first pattern and a second pattern thereon and a substantially smooth roll. As the web is transported through the nip it is subjected to variable calender loads that impart variable cross-machine (CD) direction properties to the resulting calendered web. CD properties that may be varied according to the present invention include sheet caliper, sheet bulk and surface smoothness. The variable CD property may be preserved in the web as it is further converted, such as winding about a core, resulting in tissue products having physical properties that vary along at least one dimension of the product.
