A garment is provided prepared from a smart fabric, wherein the smart fabric contains: one or more devices providing satellite positioning measurement, accelerometer measurement, or both, conductively coupled to a battery or other DC power source, and in additional embodiments, the smart fabric contains a conductive composite yarn/sewing thread, wherein the conductive composite yarn/sewing thread has: a) a core formed of at least two strands of a conductive metal of 40 or higher gauge, wherein the at least two strands of conductive metal are configured such that one strand is wrapped around the other strand at a wrap rate of from 1 to 50 turns per inch (tpi); wherein the wrapped strand is preferably a ground wire, and b) at least one inner cover wrapped around the core in a first direction at a rate sufficient to provide substantially complete coverage of the core by the inner cover; c) at least one outer cover wrapped around the at least one inner cover, wherein the outer cover is wrapped in a second direction opposite to a direction of a cover layer on which the outer cover is directly wrapped, at a rate sufficient to provide substantially complete cover of the cover layer on which the outer cover is directly wrapped; and d) at least one bonding agent; and e) optionally, a lubricant,
and optionally further including one or more biometric sensors.

ZIPPER CORD YARN, REFLECTIVE ZIPPER, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING REFLECTIVE ZIPPER
20190382927 · 2019-12-19 ·

The present invention relates to a zipper cord yarn and a reflective zipper wherein the zipper cord yarn containing a reflective yarn is sewn on a zipper by means of lock stitch, thereby enhancing the visibility of the zipper through retroreflective properties of the reflective yarn. The zipper cord yarn includes a core yarn, and a covering yarn made of a reflective yarn to cover the core yarn.

Garment multilayered-lining sewing process

This disclosure relates to a sewing process of a breathable, reusable, and leak-proof garment multilayered-lining having absorbent, antimicrobial, waterproofing, and steam dispersion functions. Such lining aims at preventing body fluids such as sweat, blood, vaginal fluids, menstrual fluid, urine, breast milk, or post-surgical fluids from leaking. Such a lining provides the absorbent, antimicrobial, waterproofing, and steam dispersion functions. The lining may be sewed or adhered to the garment piece including: men's and women's underwear, shorts, short pants, skirts, pants, bras, shirts, T-shirts, jumpsuits, body shapers, dresses, men's and women's nightwear, etc. The sewing process creates channels for the liquid and creates a non-linear U-shaped structure on the lining to prevent leakage from the sides. The disclosed lining also has a reduced number of layers on its sides due to one of its layers being smaller in width than the other layers, making the coating thinner for the wearer.

Flexible electroluminescent fiber for embroidery

A flexible electroluminescent fiber for embroidery sequentially includes: metal core wires, a light-emitting layer, a transparent conductive layer, a filament, and a protective paint, wherein a quantity of the metal core wires is an even number, and the metal core wires are pasted together before being wrapped by the light-emitting layer; the light-emitting layer is coated with the transparent conductive layer; the protective paint and the filament are exterior to the transparent conductive layer; the metal core wires emit light through energizing; a diameter of the electroluminescent fiber is 0.1-0.3 mm, and a 20-36V safe voltage is applied for emitting light. The flexible electroluminescent fiber of the present invention has sufficient tensile force, and smooth and soft surface. Appearance and hand feeling of the present invention are the same as those of clothing textile fibers.

POLYAMIDE-46 MULTIFILAMENT AND SEWING THREAD FOR AIRBAG

A purpose of the present invention is to provide a polyamide-46 multifilament that has high strength, high-temperature dimensional stability, and excellent stretchability, which have not been attained with any conventional technique, and that is hence suitable for use as a sewing thread for airbags having mechanical properties which can inhibit the sewed portions from suffering an air leakage of a high-temperature high-power gas. The polyamide-46 multifilament has the following physical properties (1) to (3). (1) A strength of 6.0-9.0 cN/dtex and an elongation of 15-30%. (2) A degree of elongation E10 (100? C.), as measured after stretching 10 times in a 100? C. environment, of less than 1.0%. (3) A difference between the elongation under a load of 2.0 cN/dtex at ordinary temperature and the elongation under a load of 2.0 cN/dtex in a 100? C. environment of less than 0.5%.

GARMENT HAVING ANTISTATIC CAPABILITY

Provided is a garment that has an antistatic capability and exhibits washing durability without, when producing a woven or knitted fabric, using a conductive fiber at a part that becomes a wearing part of the woven or knitted fabric, and without applying an antistatic treatment to the woven or knitted fabric, but rather by incorporating a conductive fiber into a sewing thread. The garment according to the present invention has a conductive fiber incorporated in a sewing thread (linking thread), and has a frictional charge amount of 0.8 C or less per garment. The garment preferably has an electric resistance value of 110.sup.4-510.sup.8 per 1 cm length of the conductive fiber in a fiber axis direction thereof, and the sewing thread preferably includes the conductive fiber in an amount of 30-100 mass %.

Polyester sewing thread for airbag and preparation method thereof

A polyester sewing thread usable for a fabric for an airbag and a cushion for an airbag is provided. The polyester sewing thread is obtained by doubling and twisting a specific polyester yarn including a plurality of polyester filaments, and bonding the polyester yarn in the manner of in-bonding, out-bonding, or in-and-out bonding. A method for producing the thread is also disclosed.
